Winter Xmas function. They were meant to provide food for a two hour function. Snacks provided in first half hour, then nothing ! Absolutely shocking. Clearly there agenda was to make money from the booze and not provide much in the way of food. Only after much complaining did they begrudgingly supply a handful of deep fried rubbish - do... More

Hi There, Thanks for your time to submit your feedback on TripAdvisor. Would you be so kind to elaborate a little bit more as to what function you are referring to? We run a very busy function venue so without this information I am unable to investigate this further. Please also take into consideration that we provide food & beverage... More

I like the pub for its Victorian decor and wood and stone aesthetic. The chips were fabulous but I really didn't eat in there. It has a nice atmosphere with a good mix of people.

Been here many times but not for a while. Although I thought the menus was great and the chicken meal I had was excellent with vine tomatoes, ricotta cheese and smashed potatoes. Good Monteiths beer and great selection of other drinks.

Popped in for a couple of beets early on a Saturday evening. Lovely atmosphere, friendly service. Great app for song selection too! Wouldn't hesitate to go back next time we're in town.

Been here a number of times and the food is always great - huge meals that taste amazing and are reasonably priced. I had the steak recently, which is massive. For $25 it was huge, came with lots of sauce, eggs and chips. Really good value. The place is often busy, but never seems too crowded and the atmosphere is... More

Excellent lunch venue any day of the week. Food is of a consistently good standard, good specials for regulars. Always some nice stuff to peruse on the blackboards. Love the walls, feel like I'm somewhere fabulous, that whole bluestone and wood interior, and not just down a back alley in the CBD.

arrived at 10pm following dinner to be told the bar was closing early with already a few patrons in...we decided on a quick drink anyway... but the staff not only tried to charge us for extra drinks we didn't have but then got rather snippy as we were in no rush to leave before 11am. There was no explanation for... More

Nice place to stop for nicer pub food than you think a pub should have. Beer selection is about average, mixed drink selection is average. A bit hard to find but worth the effort to find.

I was here for a conference and it was a great venue for it. The staff were professional, the food was great, the venue was excellent and the facilities for the conference were perfect.
