The hot chilli pork loin is to die for, the food may be a little more pricey than your average chinese takeaway but it is worth it. My favourite place to eat, noodles and rice is also amazing.

Ordered takeout from here for the first time. The restaurant has been around for years so thought we would give it a go. The wontons only had about half an old 5c piece size of meat. Had a combo fried rice and chicken satay on noodles. They were definitely tasty, but not great value for money - all up the... More

At one point there were 4 Love A Duck restaurants in Auckland (2 in Dominion Rd!). but only 2 now. There's an extensive menu, a reasonable vegetarian & vegan range. It's 'Hong Kong style fast food' - you never have to wait long. It's not atmospheric (bare formica tables, chilly in winter), but the staff are friendly & warm, and... More

Always good, hot from the wok, with generous portions. Ingredients always seem to be fresh rather than something prepackaged. Last night was beef with black bean sauce and fried noodles and spicy fried squid. Service was quick and we were in and out in under an hour. Sometimes it takes longer if they are busy but worth waiting for. Service... More

I love Love a Duck Restaurant have been to both the Dominion Road and Northcote restaurants, The decor is simple and the food delicious - Crispy Peking Duck on fresh Fried Rice for around $14, the crispy Pork o Fried Rice is almost equally delicious. Simple. unpretentious food in a no frills venue. I prefer the Northcote location and its... More

We visited this place on a Friday night and it was busy. I don't know if they were caught short with staff or what, but the place was a shambles. Nearly all tables that weren't occupied were covered in dirty dishes and leftovers. We sat at one and waited, and waited, for a staff member to either clear the table... More

We used to have good food. Today roast pork are leftovers re-fried and not very nice. So does the duck. Mapo tofu and pork is not that good either. Disappointed.

The food is very tasty, great portions and good value for money. The decor is simple, but it works. It looks more like a cafe but that doesn't both me at all. The staff are lovely and friendly. Free Jasmin tea is an extra bonus. I've eaten here a few times.

I took my wife and 2 children here a few fridays back. We didn't order anything special. However, numerous tables of chinese diners, some larger parties, came in following us. The tables of chinese diners all had their food served very quickly while my hungry children sat their for an age waiting for theirs. When I asked the waitress if... More

Good value meal for lunch today. Veges were great. Service was quick and friendly. If the place was tidied and redecorated they could charge a lot more.
