How is The Helm rated?

I booked for a large group outside for my birthday dinner to see the staff set up less seats than specified and inside, when I got the tables changed to outside they then proceeded to tell my group that we were unable to order anything...from the dinner menu, which was extremely disappointing as I wouldn’t have booked if I was aware of this, after accepting that we had no other options to order from the snack menu, but that did take over an hour for anyone to get their dishes, still the staff were kind and respectful through out, but it has Definitely convinced me not to book any further events at the helmMore

Loaded Fries are superb!!

Wedding anniversary

It was our 38th wedding anniversary, and we had a bad day. The young lady lifted our spirits. We were 35mins late. I did contact the Helm. But when we arrived the young lady who took my call came over to make sure everything was...okay. Amazing staff.More

Consistently awesome

Amazing!

The Helm was recommended by our hotel staff and they didn't disappoint. The food was absolutely amazing, perfect balance and flavours. The wait staff were all friendly and helpful. The cocktail list was a nice surprise reasonably priced and again, great balance of flavours. Highly...recommend - you won't be disappointed!!!More

Excellent Food with Reasonable Prices!

Excellent food and service

Great night all round!

It did happen to be the final of the Rugby World Cup and busy . All our meals exceeded our expectations- delicious, good size , prompt delivery , great, helpful table staff and loved the tablets we used to order food and drinks.

Dinner

Did enjoy the atmosphere. Great to be re-seated outdoors. Food was great. Definitely great value. Pity one of the meals came out very late as most of the table had already left

Great place

What can I say, great food, great atmosphere and great staff. Ate there on more than 1 occasion whilst staying around the corner. Meals were so tasty everything. Staff were always happy and friendly.

Excellent meal

We were visitors to Hamilton from Lower Hutt and the Manager at the Motel we stayed at recommended the Helm. The food was excellent and the Manager and staff were very friendly and helpful. We will certainly dine there again when next in Hamilton. Newell...& Louise MMore

Great food, great value

Can’t fault the food here. We were a group of 9 older women and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Service was great too.
