I took 15 retirement village residents for a pre booked morning tea. Everyone had a delicious muffin and a bottomless cup of coffee or tea. We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts. There were tastings of jams, chutneys and blueberry wine available in the shop and some of the residents tried a blueberry ice cream. A great... More

We found this on the way to Rotorua and you should visit if you can. Just a great stop to try the blueberries grown on site. We got wines and jams to take back home. Kelly was so friendly and helpful. Tea and food were great. We had crepes, pancakes and scones - they came with massive lashings of blueberries!!... More

The venue is looking very dated now but the food is actually pretty good. The shop area has a wide variety of products made from blueberries, from jams and chutneys to soaps. I bought some dried blueberries which were yummy. We also tasted the wine which didn't do it for me. Vegetarians beware, though, and read the fine print: many... More

Hi Catherine, Thanks for your review. It is always good to get constructive feed back which tells us where we can improve things. Glad to hear you enjoyed all your cafe food, Your comment regarding the gooseberry pie is noted . We do only use a commercial Sweet pastry which is normally pretty good but can be a little cakey.... We stopped here on our way from Rotorua to Auckland, a small detour off the main road but well worth it. The blueberry pancakes were deliciouus with a generous serving of blueberries. The decore was dated and limited menu may not be to everyone's taste but I liked the family-run atmosphere of this blueberry business.

Eat the muffins, sip the juice and love the rest of the food. The chocolate blueberries are quite addictive. Is a lovely spot in the country for a light meal.

We had come to visit this place because I love blueberries. We didn't know about the cafe, but decided we couldn't resist having blueberry muffins and coffee. They were excellent. If you have time during your stay in Rotorua, then this is an excellent outing.

Food is well below expected standard; blueberry pie with about ten blueberries in it, ghastly blueberry wine, still frozen muffin, thinnest toasted sandwich I have ever seen!

After visiting Waitomo Cave and driving towards Rotorua, pay a visit to Blueberry Farm at 311 Maraeroa Road, Mamaku. It wasn't season when we visited the farm in November but you will still be able to purchase products in the store.
