We were on our way to the lake. This cafe is at the buried village site, but you can use it without going in ( it is expensive). Lovely fresh food. Well worth a visit

Food was nice and fresh and scones were very good, but selection was a bit limited. Coffee was good.
I am a Rotorua local and have been here many times over the years. Food is always of a good standard, prices fair and the service very pleasant and helpful. Very pleasant surroundings when sitting outside. The historic photos on the wall are so interesting.
