We searched for a Japanese Restaurant for our lunch while returning from the National War Memorial back to the CBD. Had lunch here and it satisfied our requirements for a light lunch well.

Visited with a group of eight. The menu is simple and easy to read with an abundance of choice. The service is at times challenging due to a slight lack of English from some of the staff but not so much to make things unenjoyable. They are very friendly and accomodating. This was our second visit and the food both... More

For what it is being a mid range Japanese restaurant it is very good. The service was efficient, the food was good and the ambience s bit quirky but its fine. Fine Japanese dining it isn't but doesn't hold itself as such.

After seeing a movie on Friday night we walked down Courtney place and stumbled across this place. Service was good and food came out quickly. The teriyaki deep fried tofu and soft shell crab were outstanding. The tempura assortment with the soba noodle was very good with excellent crisp batter and prawns, fish and good variety of vegetables. Good portion... More

I’ve been here a handful of times with family and it never disappoints! The food is always fresh and spot on. My favourites are the vegetable udon, the dumplings and the takoyaki. However, everyone at the table ordered different things and we’re all in agreement that it was delicious! The staff are friendly and efficient. They have a good drink... More

I went to Arashi Kushiyaki for a group dinner- there were about 14 of us and we were seated at the back. The service was quite good but the food came out quite haphazardly- so we weren't all eating together. It gets very loud so I probably wouldn't recommend this place if you are hoping for a good catch up... More

It was okay, perhaps visit during the week when there are less students visiting, if you like the hustle and bustle of loud dining and students singing "happy birthday" Perhaps is the place for you. Food was reasonably priced and overall non offensive. bring good company for your visit.

A friend and I stopped in for a sneaky BYO meal on a Friday night. The service was sharp and we were seated immediately even though it was quite busy. I ordered gyoza with a sashimi set menu and was pleased with both the presentation and quality of the food. Will definitely go back again.
