Had lunch here on Sunday and it was great, staff were really friendly and attentive even though they were packed. Food was scrummy - the salmon is a definite winner and a great beer selection.

Had a quick drink before going to Te Papa. Refreshing! Inside was a bit crowded, outside on the cold side. We opted for cold!
Came here for a mates leaving party and we had a table booked. Great times. Wine list a bit poor and overpriced. They were watching FIFA and then we when asked to watch the end of the Hurricanes game the manager said no we are...More
Another example of Lion Nathan's inability to provide a decent range at decent prices in a very good location. Went there to watch NZ in the U20 World Cup. No one was watching they were all too busy going up to the bar as you...More

Despite being busy when we dined here for lunch, the food was quickly dispatched and ticked all the boxes. Good choice of beers, as you'd expect. If you're looking for good, honest, no frills food, this is the place to go.

At first it seemed a bit commercialized, but the beer was great, the decor very unique, food was great & staff was super friendly despite it always having a crowd. We actually came here twice on our trip in Wellington after going to the Te...More
Food was good, place was nice, close to the sea and near the centre. Nothing to complain about, just a little noisy for chatting properly.
