Popped in to try the $10 lunch special and am very satisfied with the results. Delicious spicy curry, with a wide range of choice. The nan bread was huge and wonderfully soft. I eat Indian on regular basis and highly recommend today's meal here.

Atmosphere was lovely,food excellent, service was excellent, by far the best Indian meal I've had for a long time

Great service, really lovely staff. The best samosas I've had, light and tasty. The sauces were amazing, especially the butter prawns, YUM!!!. A nice atmosphere and great food. Will be back!

Made an order on Uber Eats. Sat and waited for 20 mins only to find the restaurant had cancled the order without letting us know

My husband and I dined on a Sunday night, the restaurant wasn't too busy and we hadn't made a booking but this wasn't an issue. Staff were very attentive and we were greeted straight away. Due to it not being busy we could sit wherever we liked and we were provided with water and menus straight away. Although I did see a heat pump was on it was a bit chilly so I kept my jacket on. The restaurant was quite dimly lit, our eyes adjusted over time but a bit more light would've been nice. Drinks came out quickly, my mango lassi felt a little gritty but it grew on me. The taste was brilliant though. Food came out in good time, we had ordered a naan bread each but they are so big unless you've got a big appetite I think one shared between two people would be enough.
Yes there are a few negatives to this review, however they were small. Overall the food was good, as was the service and I would consider dining here again.

This was one of the best Indian restaurants we've tried in Christchurch! We were celebrating our birthdays so we each chose to splash out on the a la carte menu's Lunch Combo ($35.50 pp) which was five-star goodness on a plate! The food was spectacular and the service excellent! We had two platters of entrees consisting of samosas, and onion bhajis. The standouts were the prawns and chicken pieces which were to die for!
For our mains, we chose the chicken jalfrezi, the lamb jalfrezi, and the lamb korma all with basmati rice and garlic naan, and they were filling and delicious! We only had a two hour window for lunch before heading off somewhere and finished bang on two hours. There were only a few people that Sunday but service proved that it's not a fast-food service restaurant, so give yourself time to eat here and enjoy the Bollywood music videos. It was such a great fun experience. Even my daughter, who is not a normally a fan of Indian food, adored it. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!!!

We were a group of ten dining in. The ambience is good, it was not noisy, the staff were pleasant and helpful. Everyone of us was positive about the meal each received. All reported the food very tasty, a good sized serving, and at a very reasonable price. We had just one concern. The meals were delivered separately with a gap between each delivery. As a result, those receiving first were encouraged by the rest of us to eat while the dishes were fresh and warm. They had almost finished before the final,person received their meal. Next time we will ask for the meals to come out at once as is normal with a table no matter how many at it. But I repeat, the food was good.

Nice place located on Woodham road. It has a lot of room inside with the facilities to dine in. If you are in for a nice dinner with indian food for a relatively lower price, this is the place

Our first time at this newish restaurant and what a pleasant surprise it was, the food was excellent esp the entre platters which were so fresh. It was a quiet evening and the service was efficient and friendly. Will definately be back for more.

It appears that due to growing popularity they have been slow in the kitchen recently. Curious if they are considering hiring more kitchen staff soon to keep up with demand???
We’ve had to wait double the time the last several times for takeaways. The usual 15-20 minute wait has turned to 40-50 min wait. Not ideal when we purposely order takeaways as a quick option.
❤️ We don’t want to go elsewhere because of the wait... hope the issue is resolved soon. 🤗

We have been searching for a great Indian restaurant since the earthquake in 2011 destroyed our favourite. The search is now over. A friend recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed. We took our granddaughter with us and she really enjoyed the butter chicken, she tasted my lamb korma and enjoyed that as well. My husband recommends the Lamb Jalfrezzi. Everything was cooked fresh and did not have that nasty gritty taste some curries have when the spices are not cooked out properly. We were given a popadom each to start while perusing the menu, these were delicious. The naan bread (we had garlic) was not greasy like the stuff in some places and Mall foodcourts, it was light and very tasty. The service was excellent - thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Really really yummy food for a good reasonable price! Recently changed hands and is sooo much better. Lots of vegetarian/dairy free/gluten free options too, will definitely be going here again 😁
