The food was great, the quality and quantity of the craft beers is outstanding. The atmosphere is friendly. We ate here twice during our stay in NZ, both times the English/Irish Lions were playing NZ teams on the television. Though the crowd was obviously pro-Kiwi,...More

Our group of nine received excellent service and were unanimous in our praise of our various main meals. My salmon was very delicious and left such a lovely taste that I didn't want to spoil it by having dessert. We were tucked away in a...More

We wanted a place to watch an important Crusaders rugby game and Pomeroy's was recommended. We found a spot and nestled ourselves in. The beer list was extensive with a small brewery on-site - hubby even met the owner, Steve, who gave him a mini-tour...More

I like the atmosphere and decor here, but not the beer. I have tried a number of there beers but find them too bitter. Now, I you like bitter, this could be your heaven.

Nice brick building for a relax and casual setting. Large selection of craft beers, including a few beers interesting for a change.

Had a great evening at Pomeroys. I ate the Canterbury lamb which was delicious. After a fantastic meal we retreated to the bar to listen to an awesome live artist. All in all a great night was had by everyone!

Awesome ambience and beautiful food. The little areas for quiet dinning were really inviting. Best impersonation of an old English pub have found in Christchurch

My wife and I both like good fish and chips. We went to Pomeroy's last night and were pretty disappointed. The fish and chips were very mediocre, actually kind of tasteless. The roasted Brussel Sprouts were awesome though. She had a hard cider which she...More
