Called in for a coffee today, was not busy, and not much has changed. Place needs a good clean or even better a complete makeover as it was not an inviting Cafe. The staff were too busy with their own issues to bother focusing on...the customer. Food was OK but as a Coffee Roaster, they need to lift their game considerably. Coffee was bitter and burnt. I couldn't finish my cup. Not that keen on returning any time soon.More
Asked for a steak n cheese pie and one mince savoury. Ended up getting one mince pie, 1 mince and cheese savoury and 1 mince savoury. I cant for the life of me understand how the girl got it wrong..even after asking me again what...I wanted. Anyway, they all tasted good.More
Buns the kids had were good... but the worst long black ever! Tall takeaway cup, shot of coffee, filled to the top with boiling water. Tipped it down the sink!
Probably worst pie i have had, got home took one bite and threw away, bottom pastry was wet probably fom over heatingb on microwav
We order a cup of coffee each then we shared a lovely pie together, we were just going to order a coffee but when we saw the pies we couldn't resist and we order one to share, we had a lovely catch up
I purchased 2x grabone vouchers after reading the reviews on this place. It was OK, cakes were ok, hot chocolates were ok. It was good value for money with the grabone vouchers, kids happy.
I'm biased as this is a short 5 minute stroll from home so it is my local. Awesome coffee and food for everyone - best in the World l say!
I thoroughly recommend Naked Baker for their special cakes. I've used them for work purposes (specialty cakes and cupcakes) and personally for my daughter's 21st cake and they deliver each time. Their cakes are generous in size and taste delicious. Very well iced and decorated,...they even made a personalised chocolate 21st message on the pink doughnut cake. Price-wise, I compared suppliers and they win hands down.More
Great food choices with excellent hot drinks, close to a good, patrolled beach. It is a bakery that one could easily visit both before and after your "beach adventure". The staff are most helpful, and friendly. You enter in one door , browse the food...choices, breads, rolls, sandwiches, slices, pies, sweet greats, and more...., before reaching the counter to be served. All the food looks homemade on premises and freshly baked. Displayed nicely so you can see their great range. Huge range of pies - sweet or savoury on offer, heated and frozen to take him. However the seating area is small and can be noisey....Their is a few tables out the front for available.More
This is one of the only local bakery’s we have and unfortunately I find myself heading to BP more often than here if I’m on the run or the family is after bakery lunch. The service is very off putting and not welcoming at all....Which is a shame as they do sell some nice breads and cabinet food if you get in before the rush. Wouldn’t recommend the coffee and hot chocolates either. Very watery and bland.More
Called in on a rainy Sunday, it was fairly late in the day so a lot of the pies had gone so I went for the chicken, bacon and asparagus pie. It was delicious! I’m not sure what the other thing I had was but...it was made up of bacon, cheese, potato and egg and other ingredients that I can only imagine cake from heaven..! Finished it off with a caramel slice and by far one of the best coffees I’ve had while here in New Zealand. Friendly and efficient staff and an added bonus being it’s only a stones throw away from where I have just moved to. This will definitely be my regular coffee and pie stop! 10/10 naked baker!More
Bought a couple of steak and cheese pies and some slices here on a very busy Saturday afternoon, was impressed with it all, pies were nice with a generous amount of filling and the slices were all good.
Stopped here for an early morning coffee on a Sunday morning. Gorgeous food, great service and coffee.
We popped in for a quick lunch treat and bought a chicken & leek pie. Delicious! Huge pieces of chicken, sauce was really tasty and amount of pastry, perfect. Highly recommend them.
