Always stop in here and they now also have the café to stop at on the cheesery. Such a cool place to sit and relax, with scrummy food to eat there and take home!

Decided to stop here on a drive through, wasn't disappointed. Stocked up on delicious cheeses, that I know purchase whenever I see the label now! Perfect addition to any dinner party, and really reasonable in pricing.

We stopped here based on a suggestion from a friend and we were not impressed. The cheese wasn't very inspiring considering the dairy culture of New Zealand. I would only stop here if you were hungry. I don't think this place is indicative of the high quality NZ cheese available.

Instead of doing a tasting, we opted to drink wine instead. Gibbston has some great wines that pair really well with the cheese that they also make. Go head and have some wine and cheese and take in the spectacular view from their outdoor seating area. It's a perfect way to unwind and relax. They have a variety of cheese... More

Despite the busy time of year, the staff were welcoming and relaxed. Explanations about each cheese were helpful. We bought cheese and wonderful olives, cornichons and relish. We ate lovely cheese rolls and flatbread at the outside tables near the grape vines. Highly recommend!

A great stop to sample some local cheeses. The platters are amazing, and very generous in size! Highly recommended.

This shop is part of the Gibbston Valley Winery enclave which includes a gift shop and tasting room for the oldest winery in Central Otago. They have a great range of cheese. We purchased some jummy mature cheddar and goats cheese. Plenty of parking available.

In my humble opinion, the 5 cheese platter for 29.50 represents pretty good value for money. I m not a big cheese lover, but every cheese on the platter tasted lovely. I especially like the Gibbston Gold which I have bought to take home with me back to Auckland. The cheese shop is a must if you are visiting the... More

Worth a stop for cheese lovers. You can taste the local produced cheese, and buy some nice for the wine you bought next door at the same winery.

We preferred the choice for lunch at the cheese cafe rather than at the winery. After tasting several cheeses we ordered a shared platter with a lovely glass of Sav Blanc eating out in the sunshine overlooking the vines. The cheese platter was outstanding and very reasonably priced. All staff were very helpful and friendly.

Thank Wlisaann
