The waiter took our order promptly and then disappeared for 20 minutes. I went in search of our appetizer and could only find the apologetic hostess. After another 5 minutes of being ignored, we left. The food smelled great. The restaurant had a large group and was incredibly loud.

We have been in Queenstown for 5 days and needed a break from typical food options. The Spice Room was an Outstanding choice. Restaurant is upstairs with views overlooking the street. Food and service was excellent. We were offered 3 levels of spices. I had Mango Chicken and my wife had lamb dish. Everything was cooked to perfection. They open... More

The staff at the restaurant are very accommodating and pleasant. The samosas and nana breads are very good. The butter chicken and vindaloo was good.

we were here for Lunch. Food is very simple and was served on the table instead of buffet. Good veg/ non veg biryani. Vanila Mango ice cream was very good.

We had a jalfrezi, nawabi and biryani. The first two were heavy on the curry gravy, with a lot of oil. I would have expected more vegetables in a jalfrezi. The biryani was very generous. The highlight was the garlic naan, which was as good as any I've had. The service was pleasant but a little slow.

The foodis absolutely delicious but after having dinner there your clothes need a thorough wash as the smell is intense. A open window would help a lot. But again, the food is very good and the staff is nice. I would go there again.

Two of us had dinner here. Food was really good. We had poppadoms, naan bread and a couple of different curries. Lots of vege option and excellent attentive service.

The Spice Room is an excellent choice for quality Indian food at reasonable prices in Queenstown. The service is fast and friendly and the restaurant is large so seating shouldn't take too long. However, the decor seemed a little dated and drab and could use an update. All the dishes that we ordered were subtly spiced and very flavorful.
