We stopped by for a wine tasting in the early afternoon, we were greeted immediately by a nice guy that ended up being very knowledgeable about the region and the grapes. We decided to try a red flight, glad we did. We enjoyed the wine so much we bought 2 bottles. We also had a small tasting of the Rosè... More

Wine tasting with nibbles, didn't think much of the wines when compared to others in the area, service was pathetic.

I went to Gibbston valley for my partners Christmas party, Saturday December 3rd. The staff behind the bar were exceptional, especially the gentlemen with the dreads. I work in hospitality and just thought it was important to point this out. They went above and beyond to make the guests feel welcome, and dealt with an on intox situation in a... More

You really need to make sure you book becxause it gets very busy very quickly here. The food is lovely and you can taste a range of wines while you have your meal (or just a platter). The blue cod was particularly good as was the spiced lamb dish. Loved the friendly nature of the staff who were very accomodating... More

The weather had forced a cancellation, and so our trip to Gibbston Valley was unplanned. That we could even get a reservation for 14 on the day was lucky. Time was tight, as we also wanted to do the winery tour, so it was main courses only. Slight mix up in the orders for one of our tables causing a... More

We had lunch here and selected a few entrees to share which was perfect. The flavours were delicious and it's the best lunch I can remember. We really enjoyed the crispy lamb entree, the fried cheese, the beetroot dip plate and the deconstructed cheesecake. Honestly it was all amazing and I wish we lived closer.

The problem was - everthing on the menu looked amazing. Bewildered by the tastiness on offer, we dissolved into a flurry of indecision and shared the platter instead. This was really tasty and generous, but I get the feeling if we could have just been a bit more decisive, we would have had some spectacular treats from the kitchen. I... More

What a top class winery with beautiful surrounds, attentive staff, magnificent food choices and matched wines. There is a lovely outdoors area and that is where we relaxed over the winepickers tasting platter. Yum! The setting for this winery is peaceful and very relaxing.

Popped in for lunch yesterday , service was great and food fantastic . The wine was excellent. The only downer was the price of the bottle of Pinot at $ 80.00 , felt robbed as that is crazy for a local wine . Lesson 1 - dont let the waiter recomend a wine here , he deffinately dodged the question... More

Top quality food, wine and service - a great lunch venue. Don't bother with the turkey burger - nice idea but the flavours don't really meld. But the roast chicken with black rice is to die for! More pricey than some places but actually not bad value for the quality. Wine from $30 per bottle and mains from $24 to... More
