A quiet and a good place for dinner for two or with friends. Very tasty homemade wine. Staff helpful and unobtrusive.

We ate at Alexandros many times during our stay . The food was fab . Mamas meat balls are the best we have ever eaten. We would definitely return on our next visit to Crete. Service very good. Alexandros and family are very friendly and a pleasure to chat with, we enjoyed their company.

Visited again several times on our recent holiday and the food and service was fantastic. This is a more authentic traditional Cretan Taverna than the others in the nearby area. The food is homemade and cooked fresh; there are always a big selection of traditional Cretan dishes on the menu. Each year more items are added (try the Kleftiko it's... More

We have been here several times before and always have a wonderful welcome! We always look forward to going in and seeing the staff as well as enjoying the local delicacies and dishes. When I go I ask for the special which is always a local homemade fresh dish...absolutely fab! The homemade puds are beautiful and the raki is always... More

Set in the quiet resort of rapaniana this family run restaurant was definitely our favourite. Be careful though cash only so node it or credit cards. We recommend the prawn saganaki and the lamb kleftiko. Local tradition us they provide the pudding usually ice cream and the lethal shot of raki. If you have all night to sit and have... More

Lovely people and lovely food. A family owned place and Alexandros is a brilliant host, the same can be said for his wife. The food was always perfect and every night a dessert and Raki (ask for the honey raki) were on the house. We were always made to feel welcome and service was excellent and very relaxed :)
