Ducked in late Friday night for dinner; party of four. The doorman instantly recognised we were out-of-towners so he processed our Driver's Licenses through his KGB machine and gave us the usual useless temporary membership tags. (WHY DO AUSSIE CLUBS PERSIST WITH THIS ARCHAIC, TIME WASTING AND ANNOYING PROCESS???) It was 8pm-ish and the place wasn't overly busy - seems... More

We had a Family Birthday dinner here and the staff were very helpful and it was great that they didn't even flinch when asked to store the cakes till after dinner. They were very accomodating when we asked to change table settings. The food as always was great. My favourite is the shanks of course. Will definitely be revisiting again... More

Firstly this is a bowling club and yes they have a bistro, so if your looking for fine dining your in the wrong place. Some of the meals are pre cooked and these are usually the specials. This simply means you could order something that's pretty well ready to eat. They also have a menu you can order from. We... More

We ordered, we waited 45 mins we complained we waited no apology, assured 5 minutes we waited we complained, another 40 minutes assured 5 minutes, then told main meal ordered run out - the last straw. By then we were among 40 other people including kids similarly affected. It was now 9.15. We demanded a refund and left. No apology... More

We stayed across the road at the Abel Tasman Motor Inn and just wandered across for dinner and a couple of drinks. Drinks are well priced and the staff are helpful and friendly. Had a few quite drinks on the balcony in the warm afternoon over looking the river before dinner and it was very relaxing. Come dinner time we... More

This was our second time visiting but won't be returning. Nice view but the food was sadly average for the price.

Lovely location for dinner with good views. Prompt and friendly service. But meals were basic without a lot of taste.

Good location with nice setting. OK service. However Salt and Pepper Squid is over priced, poorly presented and tasteless (rubbery). Greek salad just ok. Frankly they need to do better. We didn't eat our food - it wasn't up to standard.

Absolutely impressed with a fabulous view, modern bistro setting ideal for casual dining. I had the scotch fillet steak which was absolutely delicious , the best I've had in a long time. Hubby and kids also thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Fresh food made tasty. Staff impeccably friendly and welcoming to us tourists. Highly recommended!
