Thought my friend and I would try this cafe..first time as Maitland locals Coffee was yummy! Regular size coffee was very very small..large was a regular..need to change that..smallest regular coffee in Maitland! The back deck looking over the river is confusing not enough chairs for the number of tables and could do with a spruce up..the deck next door... More

A real local gem. A gorgeous & cosy cafe with a wall of books. Delicious food & lovely coffee - a home away from home. Looking forward to my next visit.

Not terribly disabled friendly inside. Walked all the way around the (small) block to get to back of cafe for view of river. Bill enjoyed his coffee and burger. I ordered meatballs and gingerbeer. Drink never arrived. Meatballs were nice. Service was OK.

Scones are soft, chewy, dense and moist - served with real cream and tasty jam. Coffee is full of flavour, good even without sugar or honey. Atmosphere is cosy with a wall full of old books and comfy seats - like the lamp and old clock. Staff are warm, personable and fun. Highly recommended location for quiet time with your... More

Really enjoyed the coffee and brunch options. Nice bookshop cafe vibe. Rainy day so didn't get to enjoy the river views. Not a lot of menu options for the youngest child but the older ones loved it.

Having spent time previously scouring the books, I'd been wanting to try out the cafe. It was a relatively warm June day so I sat outside upstairs overlooking the river - nice. Nice coffee but I was disappointed with the amount of 'cheese' on the ham & cheese croissant. Honestly, I had to search for it! But with the bill... More

A cute little cafe in the heart of Maitland, had a great breakfast here- service was a little slow even though there were few people inside. A huge wall of books, somewhere you could spend days drinking coffee and reading. Games for the little ones, and comfy chairs to relax into. Good coffee, reasonable prices.

With the second hand bookshop next door it's a great place to eat and read. Good friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. I always try to get one of the comfortable armchairs!
