Wonderful cafe with an ambience that one rarely sees in France these days. Friendly staff who have become our daily community in this part of the city. Thank you for great food, coffee and company.

This place is tiny and a bit tricky to find, but once you seek it out it's a cosy, unique haven of nice coffee and yummy food. We came for a light lunch and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. The coffee culture of Newcastle is found at it's best here, with antique coffee makers and drip filters actually... More

My regular breakfast spot when visiting Newcastle. Love sitting outside and enjoying their excellent coffee. Great poached eggs on good sour dough toast.

I took my visiting brother there and as usual, the coffee was very good, and their signature scrambled eggs with ham and avocado was spot on.

We visited here on a rainy Friday night last week and we're really impressed. We sat inside in a cosy corner and drank burgundy with crepes, charcuterie and cheeses for a couple of hours. The staff were engaging and lovely to chat to. Would definitely recommend for a romantic evening or small group dinner. The outside seating looks like it... More

Friend was busting to check out this cafe so we stopped in for morning tea. True, there is a quirky vibe about this place with the interesting decor and crockery. We ordered coffees and a seeded bar with a brownie. The coffee was okay but not great, the seeded bar was nice but the brownie was a bit dry. It... More

Thought we would try the coffee at this place. Won't be returning. Cold, weak and bitter coffee, both my wife and I very dissapointed, there are much better coffee's in Newcastle. Stay away

Always excellent coffee, great service, good prices, love sitting in sun out front or in courtyard. Definitely worth risking a parking fine for this one 😀

Have had breakfast twice here in the last week. Enjoyed the scrambled eggs, ham and avocado so much the first time that I had it again. Delicious both times although different in presentation and portion size each time. I'm not a coffee drinker so can't comment on their coffee but my husband enjoyed it very much. Will come again.
