Monday night and many of the best restaurants are closed. So pleased we were able to try this amazing restaurant. Crab ravioli and garlic prawns entrees were delicious. Between us we had a duck main, lamb racks, and ocean trout. Wow. The rice pudding with poached pears was an absolute winner.

We visited here based on reputation and while it was nice enough, it wasn't fantastic. We will do the rounds of the Hunter and check for reviews before we go back again. Waiting an hour for a taxi probably killed the night for us which is not the restaurants fault.

We just visited Amanda's for our final night's dinner in the Hunter Valley. The restaurant came highly recommended from friends, and from the elegant atmosphere and service when you walked through the door, to the end of our delicious, generous and beautifully presented entrees and mains we were delighted with the entire experience. Dessert of course was a must, however... More

We've visited several times, but hadn't been in a few years. I think $2.50 for a bread rolls when the mains are $39.50 is a bit greedy. Surely they could give you a bread roll. The entrees were very small. My 16 year old commented that he paid over $20 for about 4 pieces of gnocchi which tasted more like... More

As with other local upper end eateries booking a table is easy using Dimmi but you need to think ahead and book early as Amanda's is very popular. I had the stuffed mushroom for entree and my wife had gnocchi, both recommended for others to try. The thrice-fried duck leg was tasty soft and not dry (which is a feat... More

We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. Our last prior visit was a few years back. The food was nice and wait staff friendly enough. We had the duck and lamb rack. Unfortunately the duck was very dry. My partner loved the lamb. Coffee was spot on. The menu is limited but something for everyone, for the prices though... More
