Tanapa used to be a good option, until we called to let the restaurant know about a portion size that was a third of our normal order. Not even enough for a meal. After being criticised about my normal order and not to mention favourite Thai dish, decided not to order from there again. Go to Orientai if you can..... More

I would give this place a Zero rating if i could. Ordered large lemongrass for dine had only 2 small prawns, little vegetables, was very small meal for a large serving & expensive, don't mind paying for quality but this was far from it. My wife & daughters meal was pretty much the same. Don't bother with this place. Go... More

In our opinion this would have to be the best Thai Restaurant in Glenelg for value for money. The food is delicious and wine corkage is only $3.50 per person which is very reasonable. My husband and I chose the chef's selection for entree which was a combination of curry puffs, spring rolls and Fish Cakes which was delicious and... More

Away for work so decided on Thai take away, read the reviews and settled on Tanapa Thai. Ordered lemongrass/sweet chilli prawns. It was the worst bitter tasting sauce I have ever experienced. To make matters worse my take away was $23.70 but upon returning to work to lodge my expenses I was charged $27.30. A small keying error I know... More

Service was excellent Our waitress was very helpful with suggestions. We had the beef with basil and a beautiful chicken dish "Choo Chie" or something like that. - at the bottom of the menu. Very interesting combination of flavours

We used to come here regularly, but sadly the level of service has declined. Although there were numerous patrons, the only waitress was run off her feet and exasperated with having to do so much alone. She was abrupt and downright rude. We wanted to order a bottle of wine and asked if we could have a taster before ordering.... More

My dad and I shared a coconut prawn entreè, tamarind duck main and chicken stir fry. It was delicious. Duck was tender, fried rice was not oily and the coconut prawns yummy - no other word. Very nice Thai.

At the Tanapa Thai Restaurant it is our wish that you will enjoy your dining experience with us as much as we enjoy preparing it for you. Our Head Chef Thawanrat Thitivimutkun (Nop to her friends) received her training at the world famous Oriental Hotel in Bangkok. Thawanrat's authentic and traditional Thai cuisine will take you on a delightful journey through many parts of Thailand. Most of the recipes for our dishes have been handed down through many generations of Nop's family, some have been derived from her days with the Oriental hotel and a few have found their way into her hands from the Thai Royal kitchens.
