As the blurb says there is nothing particularly Spanish about this anymore but we had a great meal and a nice night here on my partner's birthday (unfortunately Stefano's was closed the 2 days we were there, but this turned out nice enough!). We had two entrees and shared a large steak - leaving just enough room for a desert... More

Average food. Our $14 entree of bruschtta was tiny and burnt. The waitress arranged a free bowl of chips because of this. Meals were pretty simple and very costly. Fish was served on a pile of chips and lacked flavor. Seafood Spaghetti was over cooked and seafood was quite chewy. I would not go back again for the food. Staff... More

It is undergoing some changes so I hope it doesn't change too much. Always my favourite place to eat in Mildura, the staff are extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. The food is interesting and appetising.

Solo dinner on a Saturday night. Was pretty quite but then again it was AFL Preliminary Final night and the game was still on. Only had mains and the steak was beautifully cooked. After all its a bar and grill and the chef did a great job, highly recommended.

We were very keen to try the blackboard special of King George whiting.. However we were told they were sold out. Interestingly we also visited the next night. The blackboard specials were they same. We opted for the whiting and we were told the board hadn't been changed from the previous night and wasn't available. Thought that was very odd!... More

At first we were disappointed we weren't seated in the galley and were taken to the dining room but it turned out to be a wonderful ambience and the food was exceptional - as was the wine. The service was excellent and we highly recommend it

Stayed at the Grand Hotel recently, and also tried an evening at the Spanish Grill. Wasn't disappointed with the Porterhouse steak, nor were my friends with the Scotch fillet and the other with the "Fish" special. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive and, as in other reviews, the local and regional wine choices were very complimentary to the... More

Know the feeling that you need a dish before you even walk into a restaurant! Mine was a Saturday night steak, I ignored all the other dishes and went straight to the fillet, but the other two actually looked through the extensive menu whilst I chose the wine from a good selection. A great night, good food, very good service... More

The Tasting plate for two was different and delicious with the salmon done in Beetroot the highlight for me. All meals were good size and the steak cooked to perfection. Kids meals also good. There was a good selection of wines to choose from and my choice from the Coonawarra region was divine. The panna cotta for dessert topped of... More

“Every now and then a restaurant meal can unexpectedly become a memorable dining experience for all the right reasons………sleek and cosy, stylish and inviting, the manner and knowledge of staff exemplary, with well chosen and superbly cooked side dishes and meat cooked to perfection” (Savour Australia judges review 2009)So where is the tapas you ask? Well we’re not really Spanish at all; the name has simply been retained for historical authenticity. The original Spanish Grill was a prominent feature of the old Grand Hotel and was a keen local patronage that closed in 1989. The new Spanish Bar & Grill has been created to remember the past and to evoke nostalgia for former patrons. We are delighted to carry on this Mildura tradition.Since 2006 The new Spanish Bar & Grill has been transformed into a must do dining experience for locals and visitors alike. After two state awards for Best Steak Restaurant this sophisticated yet reassuringly relaxed dining venue was in 2009 awarded the Savour Australia Award for Excellence as the Best Steak Restaurant in Australia. And yes we are extremely proud of this achievement. The centrepiece of the space is the unique red gum grill, with the sights, scents and sounds of the grill adding to the guest experience. The grill is not just a slice of entertainment, it is central to the wonderful and unique flavour of our steaks. Freshly fired each day, the grill uses handmade coal derived from dropped red gum and mallee roots lifted by farmers during clearing. The coals add a subtle flavour to the meat during cooking that cannot be replicated with traditional gas or electric grills.Providing an atmospheric link between Seasons and The new Spanish Bar & Grill is our Wine Bar. Open daily from 5.00pm you can choose to relax in our low slung leather lounges, or soak up the al fresco atmosphere of the vine covered arbour while savouring boutique beers or hand muddled cocktails. We recommend a classic with a local twist — the Blood Orange Caiprioska! With at least one sommelier always on duty finding your way around our extensive local and international wine list (over 200 offerings) is a treat.
