This was a very disappointing evening in a great location . Time slots are understandable and accepted in a busy place like this , but when you are blatantly pushed into moving off the table because there is a supposed booking that never materialises and there are several other tables nearby empty leaves a lot to be desired . We... More

This is a must visit restaurant. upstairs is a high end restaurant and downstairs is more casual. Saturday lunch upstairs at the stokehouse was fully of friends and families celebrating birthdays, engagements and all sorts of special occasions. The food is brilliant, so is the wine list and so are the staff. l highly recommended this restaurant! oh yes, and... More

Use to love to come to the old Stokehouse that had a lovely beach feeling but with a finesse to the food! The new building is confusing in it's design aspect - mixing rustic with something boxy city - and the food is a bit of the same feeling...OK, but nothing special - felt more like a 'bistro' menue but... Attended here in Easter Sunday with family, before they continued on with their trip. Having been to the old Stokehouse, was not sure what to expect, however, what I was presented with, was not what I expected. Though the restaurant was nice and presented well, it did not have the vibe of a upper class restaurant on a beach front... More

Rang the day before to make a booking for a birthday lunch for my wife with the family. Had specifically asked for a window seat as it was a special occasion. Was thanked for asking and was assured there would be one for the 12-2 pm sitting. Glorious day for a special lunch! Dropped off the family and parked the... More

We had a business lunch here and we're excited about visiting the new Stokehouse. The staff were great but the food was quite disappointing. I had the eye fillet. The portion was tiny and tasteless. Even the tiny amount of sauce had no taste. My associate had the chicken which was dry with very little sauce. It wasn't exactly a... More

Limited and uninspiring menu...risotto chalky, a duck special starter was heavily endorsed by staff yet came out cold with a luke warm broth.... small portions....wine list very average and expensive for what was on offer.... on the plus side, great location, well designed architecture and interiors... oh, we were told at 8.15pm that the table for 5 was booked for... Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. Tried fish dishes that included sardines, tuna, mackerel, chowder and trumpet fish. Everything was really tasty, fresh and light. For dessert I ordered the passionfruit bombe, I absolutely loved it. St Kilda beach was at it"s best bathed in sunshine.
