We always drop into DeLuca when driving north - which is about twice a month. It has always provided friendly service and the coffee is PERFECT, we drink every drop. Has a great atmosphere where you can relax. The food is fresh and the menu has imaginative additions. We believe this is the best cafe in whangerai for breakfast/lunch.

Stopped of for a quick coffee on Saturday. The coffee was hot so that was a good start...but....it was so BITTER. We never drank it and left. As for the atmospher...there is one. Its a noisey cafe where everything echos

Great coffee. I ordered a long black it was perfect. No bitterness and it wasn't burnt 😍 my friend ordered almond milk with her coffee and even ordered a takeaway option meal that was healthy and fresh 👍

Steel cabinets for displaying some food, sparsely decorated with a sort of smoko room effect furniture of different seatings, (but way nicer than most smoko rooms), leather straps on aprons give this cafe a different look - people having business meetings here might feel as though they're at their own work places. Others there for a quiet chat can just... More

We stopped here for lunch on our shopping day in Whangarei. We were ready for a change from our usual haunts, and Deluca certainly provided that. Great salads, beautiful cabinet displays, delicious looking cakes and excellent coffees. Friendly and efficient service too. We didn't find it as noisy as previous comments have said. We will always go to Deluca from... More

Great coffee, interesting food. Helpful and attentive service. All combine to make this small, out of the way Cafe worth seeking out. Be aware parking is a little difficult in the immediate area. Best to park your car and explore Whangarei with this destination in mind for a 'reviver'. Exotic sweet cakes delightful to look at...be a devil !

Walking past and dropped in for breakfast. Had the Salmon scramble - the whole plate was so well balanced. Just enough of each ingredient to play against each other, so well seasoned no more was needed. Scrambled eggs were just right soft and creamy and the vegetable and salmon set it off extremely well. Really just great cooking from an... More

Nice to find a rural cafe with its finger on the pulse. Great set up, vibe and coffee. We will make this our go-to in future.

Great interesting food. Healthy and indulgent options. Only problem is location. Very small so loud inside and outside cars only metres away and trains at lunchtime. A real shame.
