C'mon Bazura lift your game. I've lived in Coogee as long as you have and you used to be my first choice every time. Just when you have lots of competition, including some right next door, you've dropped the ball (again) big time. Service was...friendly but the bored staff spent more time chatting at the register than monitoring diners - our wine glasses needed a refill (lost opportunity there), we had to wave at staff to order, then again for plates to be cleared and then again for coffee. And the food, so disappointing - I had the fish and chips on my last visit at Christmas and they were delicious (and better than the Pav), this time underwhelming - thick batter, small portions and just plonked on the plate. Seafood spaghetti was woeful, thick heavy sauce with overcooked seafood, one prawn minus its head which was lurking under the pasta. The perennial favourite Nasi Goring was ok but how about a bottle of Sirachha to liven it up. As for the menu, it's like Groundhog Day - hasn't changed for a very long time. You've got a great location, nice restaurant and friendly staff - train your staff to pay attention to diners, refresh your menu and have a chat with the chef - consistency is key in ensuring return business.More

Great place from having a coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Anytime you want a table you can get one. I love this convenience. The food, cocktails and service is great.

I wrote a review a year ago, and this restaurant just gets better and better! Apart from the stunning view, the service was exemplary, - David deserves a bonus! The food was exceptional. I had 2 nice pieces of delicious fish served with crunchy chips,...and my husband had a huge bowl of lip smacking mussels. If you want to enjoy the Best of Sydney, don’t miss a visit here.More

Has Barbara changed hands as the menu has changed we thought we would have some small plates and a salad . The food was good calamari and garlic toast this was $5 for one slice we were expecting two slices as it is a shared...plate. The Zucchini flower was stuffed with what was said to be crab but was tasteless , then there was a salad it was a very ordinary salad for $20 When we ordered we were very specific that we wanted the calamari and toast first as a starter then the zucchini and salad as the main this proved to be too difficult and it cam the wrong way round The wait staff were all very nice and attentive once at the table The view really can’t be beaten , Coogee beach on a hot evening , it has been my go to place for visitors to Sydney for many years I hope it will stay that wayMore

So glad our flight was delayed so we could return back to Coogee Beach and experience this beautifully situated establishment. The views from just about any table are amazing, The staff is friendly and attentive and our meals were delicious, tasty and satisfying. We had...some cocktails from the full bar, wine and beer list. Dined with a share plate on a pot of black mussels in white wine sauce with chips along with fresh burrata, tomato, basil and bread. All while basking in the sun. Choose a seat inside/out or on balcony. Enjoy!More

We visited here for the first time last Tuesday (14/2) with my sister and brother in law from New Zealand… my brother in law is in a wheelchair, and the girls promptly had the ramp out for him to get up the one step to...get in, and put us at a suitable table. An Irish girl looked after us most of the time and was absolutely wonderful.. as were any of the staff that came over with our coffees or food… the food was amazing and the view fantastic… will definitely put this one on our “places to go with friends and family “…. Definitely will be back…More

We called at Barzura on a recommendation. We wern't disappointed. Although busy, we were shown to a table without undue delay. We shared shakshuka and eggs with avocado on sough dough toast and a side salad. The eggs were cooked to perfection. The coffee there...is also to die for.More

I ordered take-away for lunch and the salad they got was exactly as promised, with nice veggies, light dressing and grilled salmon on top. Was ready when I arrived, well-packaged including utensils and napkins. Transaction was quick and I was on my way! Would go...back to try their other menu items and dinner. Located right by the beach so good for either dine-in (they have indoor and outdoor options) and take-away.More

Googled best steaks in Coogee and this place came up and didn’t disappoint. Steak was sensational, cooked perfectly Chicken Kiev was scrumptious and changed the salad up for chips Great atmosphere, nice music (not too loud), ocean view of Coogee beach 🏖️ All the staff...were fantastic Thank you for a lovely experience and we will definitely be returning.More

We really enjoyed relaxing here for a delicious seafood lunch with a sensational view. It’s at the southern end of Coogee Beach away from the frenetic crowds at Cafes on Coogee Bay Rd. You need to allow plenty of time to find a car space,...and carefully check the parking restriction signs, as some have one hour and some have four hour limits.More

We had lunch outside on a sunny Coogee day, enjoying the beautiful setting. The mains were underwhelming. All mains were served cold. Snapper main was overcooked and small for the price. Side of chips was tasty and well cooked but, again, small for the $12...price. Dessert was the best part of the meal. It was an expensive meal in these post-Covid times and this wasn't helped by the fact that they don't accept BYO with a reasonable corkage fee.More

Menu looked great, so we decided to eat here for dinner. When we went to order Garlic prawns we were informed that they had no Garlic!!! Unfortunately that meant half of the menu was unavailable. Have they not heard of a supermarket to get Garlic.

So warm inside on a cold breezy night. Wonderful to sit by the window, watch the passing parade and enjoy our meals (gnocchi/smoked cod pie). Latter a thumbs up. Specials of meal/drink in addition to menu. Popular venue with all ages dining in/getting takeaway. Seemed...like a second home for dinner for the locals.More
