We quickly discovered that the best place to have breakfast at a very reasonable price was at The Lighthouse Cafe. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is yummy. You must try their French toast with maple syrup and bacon :-)

Popped in for breakfast on our last day. Good generous sizes for food. Service good and sitting outside in the Sunshine was a bonus after months of rain. Friendly staff. Limited to places in Kingscote but this one was fine and we enjoyed our breakfast

Not only is this establishment guilty of having a great coffee, they are very accommodating and are so welcoming. Also serving hot food hot!! They are wonderful allowing me to take my dog under the verandah too so they are pet friendly. . I can recommend a visit if you're in Kingscote on Kangaroo Island. Call in and say hi..

Food was reasonable and what we expected for a take-away meu with seating. Considering limited eating options during July in Kingscote, this was fine for our purposes.

We got into town a little early and we were thinking that we would not find anywhere to eat but the cafe was open. We entered and were very unsure if they were open and we could not have been more welcome. The service was just wonderful and food nice and hot...... Plus the best coffee.

We visited because our first choice had stopped serving. The food was just OK. Nothing spectacular especially the chips. We all really enjoyed the ice cream thouhh especially licorice flavour. The setting is OK though there are no bathroom facilities in the restaurant

Stopped here for breakfast and threw up a bit of a challenge. We were looking for familiar and simple fare - which meant we had to go off piste and order items as 'extras' (i.e beans, sausage etc... They were very accommodating and were happy to make up our preference - but it did add a bit to the bill.... More

After a long day touring around KI, we were dropped off in Kingscote looking forward to fill our tummies. I really wanted seaford and assumed this cafe would have fresh seaford at the ready given that it was a 5 minute walk from the sea. My guess was the food we ordered was frozen deep fried 'seafood' as it had... More

We were very Keen to have good fish and chips. Well we were very disappointed. The meal was $26 the fish King George whiting was very dry over cooked in fact. Chips OK but the accompanying salad was unappetizing just white lettuce with a few slices of cucumber and a cherry tomato. The pub around the corner was eight dollars... More
