We are saddened to hear that they have closed! We drove from Brighton, ate breakfast and I did my shopping at the little deli. Service was always excellent. I bought lots of fresh salmon fillets, smoked salmon, salmon pies and cans for lunch at work. Always excellent products. Thank you.

The Tassal Shop was a real plus for Kew residents. The cafe srved up very pleasant dishes at decent prices andthe range of salmon products from the shop itself was always excellent. But, alas, the shop closed last month. Not sure why this happened but Tassal - please find another tenant for your store!

A little eatery next to the Tassel shop for a quick lunch or early dinner. I had a grilled salmon (of course) and it was cooked to perfection. Service was so so and you cant expect too much.

It is 8:45am, walk in the salmon shop...One gentleman is on his mobile completely ignores me. 5 mins pass he is still talking and I'm waiting at counter to be served. He walks over to lock the entrance door, still talking with no acknowledgment that I exist. A rear chef notices me and asks a service girl to come over... More

I am addicted to the salmon eggs benedict at the salmon shop - it is one of my favourite local places for breakfast. Hands down the freshest smoked salmon you can find in Melbourne. The service is always excellent as well - Omar always looks after us. After breakfast wander through the shop as see what goodies you can pick... More

My partner an i went for breakfast . Service was great. We had the wilted spinach, eggs, smoked salmon with a bearnaise sauce. Absolutely delicious Great coffee as well. Best place in Melbourne for Atlantic salmon.

Gourmet fish and chips plus more, this is not your avergae fish and chippy folks. It's full on class fish and chips with a bulk load of varieties on cooked salmon. There's other types of fish but thats only at night. We had the beer battered salmon (crispy and golden but not oily) and mushy peas with chips, plus a... More

I took my elderly parents there and access was easy with walkers. The selection was ample. I think I made the wrong choice of salmon and chips, battered. The batter was massive and raw inside. The salmon was nicely cooked and I removed the salmon from the batter. All food was under seasoned and required lots of salt, especially the mushy peas.... More
