The food experience was excellent. This is fine dining with an impeccable attention to detail, including novel and traditional flavour combinations. However, this restaurant is very expensive. We spent almost $180 for lunch and had one glass of wine between us. The mineral water was...$12 a bottle. Whilst I understand the importance of supporting local businesses during the tourist season, paying almost $30 for one glass of wine and a bottle of water undermined what was otherwise an excellent food experience.More

A fantastic family run restaurant. Interesting menu offering fresh local produce. The eye fillet special was superb accompanied by roast brussel sprouts and roasted cauliflower. Will be going back when next in Lorne.

It is expensive and busy venue with slow service. They forgot about our order, and brought one portion instead of two. Food was very nice though, but overpriced.

The service is family based and amazing. This restaurant suffers from a superiority complex and it is the only one of its kind open in Lorne while most others are shut in winter. Being a family based business, they are passionate but the service is...outdated and features critical mistakes. Advice is to talk to the customer and listen, without making assumptions. The booking and cancellation policies are out of the world. Would love to see this place return to its former glory.More

Service was warm and friendly. Luckily we arrived early and they were able to offer us an indoor seat by the wall. The restaurant was full by 730 with about 3 tables outdoors. We had two sides, one appetiser and one main. Everything taste good!...Especially the octopus which was tender and grilled with a slight char at the edges. We were also given complimentary bread and olive oil. The olive slice is so generous. The white baiting has some fine bones so need to eat with care. The crispy potatoes are dense with a crunchy skin. I asked for some sauce and they gave me a nice beetroot aioli which goes very well with it. Make a booking to avoid disappointment. Will recommend to anyone visiting.More

We ate here last night. So many different menu options we hadn't tried before so we opted for the chefs selection menu, I thought I'd have room for dessert, boy was I wrong, I just managed to fit in the Mandarin & Ouzo sorbet, which...is to die for!! All the food was delicious, service from the front of house team was on point.More

They checked our reservation with us beforehand after they made a phone booking error. The table was ready even though we were a tad early. The food was delicious. The mushroom and chestnut entree was exquisite. The duck legs were superb. The quail was just...a little overcooked (by 5 mins) but crisp and delicious. Sauces and accompaniments for both were excellent. The beetroot and eggplant side was great for me but a little too vinegary for my partner. The wine was reasonably priced. The rhubarb and quince pudding was out of this world - 6 stars! Serving staff were efficient, very friendly and knowledgeable. Compared with the other top of the range restaurants on offer in Lorne we tried, this was by far the best in terms of quality, experience and value.More

There is a reason why this place is always packed on the weekends. The food is truly fabulous and the service is great too. It's not cheap, but quality food like this is worth paying for. The slow roasted lamb was perfect and great for...sharing . We also thought the dips were delicious and clearly home made. They had a lovely range of dishes to choose from and it was a perfect evening all around. i suggest you book, if coming on a Friday or Saturday night as they were full both nights and it's obvious why.More

We went there in March as we were staying in Lorne with friends. After studying the menu we decided it would be better to order the $70.00pp banquet. We were not disappointed. Everything was tasty, the dips and salads were fresh, the fried Kalamari was...fresh and delicious, the lamb was tender and the potatoes crispy and soft. There was also bread and oil, Saganaki cheese, croquettes and a fish dish. Plenty of food and good portion size, definitely no one went hungry. Our waitress (Carolina?) was very helpful and very efficient. Well worth a visit if you are in the vicinity but best to make a booking as it's very popular.More

Was a bit startled by the $50 cancellation policy but the meal was excellent (we had lunch). The lamb was the tenderest I've ever tasted.

Great professional service. Very good food. Nice setting. Friendly cockatoos. Dined here for lunch in a weekday. We shared the whipped feta & figs, the Calamari and the croquettes. All very nice and the croquettes were amazing. We also shared the spatchcock which was very...nice. Easy to see why this restaurant is No 1 in Lorne.More

Hi, yes they have vegetarian food. But you have to ask about it when you're there, or ring them about it.
