This restaurant rivals testuya for me without the testuya price tag, beautiful dishes that have so much depth.. Service is amazing, I will definitely be back. The food was that good I didn't even think about taking photos

The food here is quite ridiculously good. Flavour, presentation, quality, you can't fault it. Expensive though. The restaurant itself isn't as nice as next door at Ricky's but it's still in a fine position looking over the river. Very, very worthwhile a visit.

My fiancé and I dined at Wasabi for the first time during a family holiday to Noosa. We both love great food and great dining experiences with great restaurants no. 1 priority on every trip we have away. We visit Noosa with our kids this time every year but in past years had been unable to manage to secure a... More

During our recent trip to Australia we had the good fortune of having dinner at Wasabi. From the authentic Japanese seating to amazing craft cocktails. This place had it all. The service and presentation was top notch. The menu selections were all authentic Japanese and in our case presented family style. While in the Sunshine Coast I highly recommend a... More

We can't go to noosa without visiting wasabi.. its a 10-15 minute walk from hastings street, but better than having the car with the selections of wine, beer and cocktails.. the food is always served quickly, always fresh and very high quality.. it can be a little more expensive than other japanese but the experience and views are worth it..

My wife, daughter and I had the 7 course omakase and left content but by no means wowed and left with ???? on why its supposed to be the best Japanese restaurant in Australia. Even the concierge said this with the upmost confidence as we got out of the cab on the way home.....? The location was great, the service... More

A beautifully located restaurant on the Noosa river, unfortunately you couldn't tell because all the windows were closed. The service from the staff was impeccable and the food was very tasty it's just that the servings were quite small and the cost of sides and extras was pretty expensive. My chair was also very uncomfortable for some reason. On reflection... More

7 course degustation was delightful. For $135 for 7 courses, I did not and no not expect carrots to be provided as one of the courses. This needs to be reconsidered. The accompanying 7 pairing wines - sherry wasn't a good match with the dark chocolate dessert. Joel was exceptional at explaining the wine pairing and he is an asset... More

The food was excellent the service was great and the whisky and other drinks supported it beautifully. I am always a little less confident in a specific food type in a smaller place like Noosa but while Wasabi may not be filled with Japanese staff the atmosphere, decor, food and service are all excellent. I love Whisky, particularly single malt... More

Very much enjoyed the variety of seafood, particularly the tuna and the white fish. The carrot dish was unbelievably good. Were there just before Christmas and then again in January. 2017. The Moooolooooolaba prawns also, even if they are only local prawn if you can't say the word properly.

Description
Wasabi restaurant & bar, overhanging the scenic Noosa River, opposite the Noosa Recreation Reserve, is the brainchild of owner and Young Restaurateur of the Year Award recipient Danielle Gjestland. The entirely waterfront dining space has spectacular river views with amazing sunset vistas by day and a warm, contemporary, intimate dining space by night. Voted Queensland's #1 regional restaurant for the 2015 Good Food Guide, awarded two chefs hats, listed in Gourmet Travellers top 100 restaurants, and voted Queensland's Hottest Restaurant in the Australians Hot 50 List, Wasabi's food has a contemporary sensibility that is still deep rooted in Japanese purity.
