Stopped for a quick lunch over the Xmas break and will be returning this weekend for the superb food and really nice setting. It's not cheap but a really nice treat. Must do if you are visiting the west and want some great seafood.

We visited Morans based on a local's recommendation and we were not disappointed!!! The raw native Galway oysters were delicious. I had the salmon & my husband had the chili prawns, both were equally tasty. The service was quick and efficient. Best to call ahead if possible to make a reservation though, we (happily) waited 30 minutes for a seat... More

We stop at Moran's whenever possible - we have never been disappointed. The place seems to be always busy but also always able to find somewhere suitable. My personal favourite is their Fisn N Chips - but they also do a very good seafood range and are famous for Oyster and Crab. Price is reasonable.

I've been here a few times and I am never disappointed by the quality of food and service. They really are excellent, the place is so warm and cosy with the open fire and thatched roof. The chowder is amazing as is the Moran special. Really tasty fresh seafood.

We tried almost all of the seafood options on the menu, and they were absolutely wonderful. I also had the Christmas pudding with custard, and even my husband loved it (he typically doesn't care for treats like that). The service was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and cozy.

Love this place. Been going here for over 25 years. Great food. Get one of the snugs if available. Had the private room as I entertained friends. Always enjoy the salmon and crab plate.

If you are on your way to Galloway, do not hesitate to visit Moran's. The oysters are exquisite, as well the the shrimps in rose-marie sauce.

We've eaten at Morans many times in the last three years travelling between Limerick and Galway. Friday night was again amazing with mussels that had never seen a tin, a bag or a freezer, tasty crispy and succulent duck, delicious toasted goats cheese and Lasagne, complimented by great friendly service. Remember to phone ahead and reserve a table.

Of our four day stay in Ireland, this was by far the most outstanding meal. The service is second to none, the comfort they afforded because of my shellfish allergy was 100%. Cleanliness spotless toilets. Notice on menu with allergen information means they understand and you are treated like anyone else but a little different. It was very busy and... More
