Had fun here recently with the better half. Service was friendly and informal - they had some great suggestions for those unfamiliar with the menu and put some thought into a matching wine. The ribs are great - even if eating them on a reasonably...More

Great food, great atmosphere, super friendly staff. What more could you ask for? I have to make one recommendation and that is the African Mint Tea Ice Cream.

It's crowded and noisy, the tables small but this restaurant never disappoints. 30 years we've been coming here and every meal has been a rewarding experience with unusual african food with intricate flavours inventively and discerningly blended. Add to that a large comprehensive selections of...More

Fabulous experience here. Such a variety of meals to choose from across the African continent (and others). I had the tak tak sardines to start followed by bbq jerk pork ribs (not necessarily african!). Range of different breads, rices to accompany your meal. Great cocktails...More

As soon as you walk in the door you get a feeling this is going to be a good experience. There is a good vibe, with music being pumped out in the back ground, waiters moving around the room, the busy bar and the aroma...More

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
Is it possible to ask politely for cutlery? Why make a big deal of it. I would have thought a minor oversight. When we received dishes several minute apart, we applied a creative solution - sharing the dishes with each other, rather than grumbling and muttering about it. Is it possible to ask whether vegetables and/or salad comes with a meal. Many restaurants these days don't include vegetables or salad as part of a dish. Is it the restaurant's fault that the EFTPOS was not working? Is life not too short for this sort of complaint?

According to the ASIC, debit card purchases can attract a surcharge that some merchants will pass on to you. You must be adequately informed of any surcharge before you pay. Perhaps the staff could have handled it better, but a merchant is entitled to add a surcharge.
