The staff whilst friendly were overly busy and our food was slow to arrive. Not a problem if you want to chat but not so good if you are hungry. The starter when it came and that was after we had finished two bottles of wine and that was pricey too, was a real disappointment. Mixed antipasto to share and... More

When a restaurant upsizes it does not always work but Andreas has exceeded our expectations. The restaurant inside is lovely but the food is outstanding and in getting the bill we were amazed by how good a value it was compared to many restaurants around. I hope they continue like this. . This is food cooked from the heart by... More

Such an awful meal. Many of us couldn't eat the food. The soup was bland, the liver was raw, the veal was white. I genuinely can't believe how this restaurant could survive We will NOT be going back - awful

The welcome sets the scene and you know you're in for not only great food but a very pleasant and hospitable time. Six of us started with the cover and antipasti. Delicious, with the vitelle tonnato outstanding. Six different main courses and not a single fault. Beautifully cooked pasta with the mezze lune ripieni one of the stars. One of... More

Grissino has now moved to the Quinta Val do lobo Road, great new venture for them, So much bigger then the last Resteraunt with a lovely out side terrace area. The food is still excellent, cooked by Andre owner and Cheff. There is a lovely bar for pre dinner drinks or after your meal. Well worth a visit for locals... More

The Grissino has just moved from the centre of Almancil to the Estrada de Vale do Lobo,Escanxinas,Almancil and is very well worth a visit. Delicious food prepared by the son of the original owner and beautifully served by his wife and brother in law. Lovely decor and log fire made our spur of the moment visit last night really enjoyable.

We went to grissino this evening as it had recently relocated from Almancil. What a disappointment. The soup was cold, the service was average. The two bottles of wine we ask for on the wine list were out if stock. We were eventually offered an alternative wine and were charged over the top. The menu was boring and the atmosphere... More

We had a superb meal here and we both agreed this is our favourite,Italian. Food was freshly cooked to order, the asparagus soup was soooo good. Their pasta dishes are superb. The tiramisu was the traditional type very well prepared and presented even better. A great restaurant that we believe is moving,to,nre premises in 2017. Well worth a visit.

This family run restaurant is the place to go it you want consistency. Always excellent food and Pietro's welcoming smile. We have been guests of Grissino for 15 years now and never disappointed. Booking recommended.
