We had lunch here. The service was efficient and we really enjoyed the food. If you are on the verandah you also get a lovely sea view.

Though some of the food was good, I’m going to say upfront that I would not return here because it seemed to me overrated and something of a rip-off for the portions. The oysters were good (at $5 each), and so was the clam chowder,...More

Really popular and buzzing place in the Centre of the village. Amazing and fresh seafood, friendly but a little erratic service. Very nice food though. Sit on the verandah. Magic.

How far is this restaurant from the ferry from Auckland and are taxis readily available?

It's in Oneroa - the main town area closest to the ferry (Matiatia - not the car ferry at Kennedy Point). You can walk into town in 15-20min or there are taxis and buses at the ferry and in town you can grab.
