Cute restaurant with a fun vibe. Overall, a delicious meal! The fish skewers, tostones, and beans and rice, and salad were tasty. Drinks were good. I would avoid the nachos unless you like baseball game style "cheese sauce." We sent them back because it looked like a soggy mess. Service was good and they let us order something else instead. Fun place to eat in Rincon.

Having visited its sister restaurant and enjoyed it, we thought we would give it a go and were pleased we did. Just my wife and I went with a starter with both of us going with the shrimp dumplings which proved to be a good start to the meal. The 4 mains were all different, these being chicken tacos, grilled grouper, fish and chips and finally a tofu vegan meal. The first 3 were very good, the latter not so much but overall with the selection of drinks we had, the general opinion was good.
As with most of the Puerto Rican waiting staff we have encountered, those here were again friendly and efficient so as a venue, well worth visiting.

All the great reviews are correct - the food is amazing and so is the vibe…airy, lively but not loud, friendly. I saw many tasty looking dishes but only tried the tuna nachos which can often be small - this was a generous portion and extremely flavorful. Will be back!

We arrived hoping that after the third night in operation that the kinks for a new location would be worked out. Guess what, the ownership does not have their act together
I ordered sparking Pellegrino and the bottle was warm.
We ordered a nice $45 white wine and it was warm and should be served very cold.
The shrimp app was nice but $$$$ at $18
My main meal was Blackened Tuna which was well done and loaded with too much spice and NOT Blackened as the meal should have come.
My wife’s fried Snapper was really great and the shrimp topping was loaded with TOO much Salt.
The veggies had a copious amount of salt
I asked for ice for the Pellegrino and the kid never brought it. I got up and asked for more.
Had to use the rest room and there were no paper towels to dry ones hands.
Lastly my stomach has been upset all night so maybe I got a bad piece of Tuna.
If you have read this to the end congrats and what does this tell you…. It all starts with the management and ownership.
They spent lots of money renovating and I wish them the best.
Sue who is the hostess was very nice and friendly. Our server Camilla was super nice and helpful.
I will leave it up to anyone who reads this to dine here. My vote is give them some time to get their act together and get the owner to meet and greet his customers.
Merry Christmas to all.

Totally disappointed. We looked on Instagram and Facebook to see the menu and everything looked delicious. The truth is that they had almost nothing that appeared on the networks. Still it was full. As an appetizer, fried pulpits that instead of breaded octopus looked like a plate of fried cookies with octopus infusion or aroma. Too much breading. For the main course, some skewers of wahoo with tostones and some taquitos of wahoo with chips. The tostones are dry, hard and cold… not at all creamy inside and the fries are made from frozen potatoes. The cold taquitos with some rubbery and tasteless pieces of breastplate and the same skewer. No special marinade or cooking the fish to make it juicy. It doesn't seem like anyone has been making an effort to bring a well-crafted meal to the table. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. It is the story of the Emperor Without Clothes.

We thought we would go to an upscale restaurant on our last week in Rincon, and this place was ranked #2, what could go wrong?
First of all, its very difficult to make a reservation, many times the phone went unanswered. There is no website for reservation. So one evening we just drove there, and the guard at the entrance of the parking lot gave us a phone number to reserve a table. This place is very popular and it has a huge following. We came on a saturday evening @ five pm; we were seated after ten minutes. The decor is outdoor modern, the staff professional in attire. We enjoyed their house salad; assorted greens, carmelized pecans, fresh corn, fried noodles; and delicately dressed. But large pieces of red onions seemed out of place. The only highlight of our meal was the 'Poke'
My appetizer came in a nest, wrapped in a thin rice paper like pancake; the tuna was fresh and nicely marinated. Our main courses however were not exceptional. Mine a filet of grilled tuna accompanied by fried rice. The Tuna was more 'well done' than I liked. It was thin and a little too sweet. My wife opted for the panko-crusted mahi-mahi, with lobster risotto. The fish would be tastier grilled, it lacked any flavor since the crust dominated. And the risotto in any quality.. Italian restaurant would not pass; it was not creamy and soft, the rice used was not arborio; the only short grain rice that cooks properly in a true risotto. At the end of the meal I asked for coffee, and was shocked to hear that they did not serve coffee? wow? So all in all, we were disappointed, obviously this place could never qualify for a 'James Beard award. and the number two rating is surprising. ~tiaotse~

Great food, but the service was really bad. They charge you for extra butter or bread. My wife ask for a salad without dressing and the waiter brought the salad with the dressing and basically called my wife a liar.

This was not good. I regret eating here tonight and I suggest you find something else. Easily the worst meal this trip in Rincon. I enjoyed my $5 egg, ham, and cheese sandwich from the bakery this morning more than anything we ordered here.
We we've been here twice in previous years and it was excellent. It has gone downhill / food quality is poor, not authentic Puerto Rican food, limited menu, etc.
-Mahi mahi filet was tough like rubber.
-Serving of beans consisted of no more than 20 beans in flavorless "brown water" (likely bottom of pot)
-Empanada was cold in middle
-Nachos were a joke
-Many meals served with French fries and can't substitute rice and beans. Really!??

The reviews below are all mixed up due to a new upscale Cambija has opened (late 2022) about 2 miles away from the in-town location. Original Cambija is close to downtown Rincon, is more oriented to drop in Beach crowd for beer and casual dinner. You won't drop $100. for 2 for a dinner there, depending on how many bar drinks you order.
The new Cambija is up a flight of stairs in a 2 story building on 413. We have been to both restaurants. Yes, you must telephone ahead for reservations at the new location and dress a bit nicer for dinner. The view is of sunset on the water and we enjoyed a pleasant dinner experience here.

La Cambija used to be legendary, the place to go for authentically prepared local seafood in Rincón. Not anymore. The food is still good, and the service is excellent but it’s just… not authentic and local. We used to come here year after year to experience real Puerto Rican food, but this year something radically changed. Everything is in English now. The empanadillas used to be amazing, now they’re nothing special. They put sugar in the ceviche now. It’s so sweet and syrupy it made my teeth hurt. You can’t even taste the delicate fish flavor. They serve fries with the burritos (?!). They offer beyond burgers now. They also offer jackfruit, which is cool, but it’s smothered in sugary bbq sauce. Everything is overly sweetened and salted. It’s mainland, boring and blah. They still have pinchos, thankfully, but they don’t even call them pinchos, they’re skewers. They play smooth jazz and elevator music instead of salsa. So disappointed. This used to be a highlight of my visits to the area.

There are two restaurants with the same name. This review is for the more expensive one, at Tres Palmas. It is relatively new. We spent around $150 plus tip for two, without a bottle of wine. The sunset view was great, as was the service. The menu is limited but the food we had was good. They had only one item for dessert and they did not have any coffee or tea, which is very odd for an upscale restaurant. They can certainly afford a Keurig and a teapot! I have an old one in my basement that I would sell them for $12.
Our meal here was around the same price as our meal at estela. Estela was much better but it did not have the nice sunset view as this place.

My wife and I ate at La Cambija multiple times while staying in Rincon February 2021. The rum punches and mojitos were great starters. On different nights we chose beef empanadillas, grouper pinchos (skewers), churrasco, grouper filets. One night a special was fried shrimp dumplings with kimchi aioli (my wife's choice) that she said was excellent and recommended it be added to the regular menu. The servers were all very polite and attentive. Overall the prices were reasonable and the servings (portions) were enough for two meals!

The scenery is in not to my liking because you can feel very cramped at times. This place is very popular and you should definitely expect to wait in line for a place to sit. The service was still great compared to most others restaurants in Puerto Rico. I enjoyed the fish plate and would probably eat another soon. The proportions were a bit small for my taste but in the end it was still worth the time to come here.

Another excellent dinner, first time back since February of 2022. Three people in our group, service was quick and polite. Three in our group, two had passion fruit mojitos and one had coconut mojito, all good. Supreme fries were good, loaded with the beef. My wife had shrimp dumplings and the ceviche and loved both. Our friend had a really good lobster empanadilla, and I had a beef empanadilla a long with a grouper skewer(pincho!). Prices were reasonable for the quantity and quality of the items.
