Best ever brunch on Sunday Very different and unique menu. Not your everyday brunch. Outside looking at the ocean and the food was wonderful. Oh did I forget to mention whales. I have also had a great dinner with excellent service and a beautiful sunset

Offers a wide variety of tropical cocktails right next to the Caribbean sea. Rincon is known for it's sunset and this place provides a 180 degree view . Amazing place for a romantic end of the day celebration of sea and sky.

This is my second time eating here. The spot is ideal. Right on the beach. Love the fish curry style. Great sunset views. Food is fresh and tasty. Service is great. I will be back again.

Copa llena is a lovely beach restaurant, and has a really nice staff. The atmosphere is great: first time we went we were able to see the last bit of sunset from the outside deck, and they had live music. As vegetarians, we were able to find things to eat and really enjoy our dinner. We had the hummus (nice... More

This place has really awesome food. The curried cauliflower is amazing and the steak we had after was just as good. I'd say this is probably the best restaurant in Rincon. Definitely try and fit it in if you're around.

I go there for the sunsets, even if it is just at the bar. i go there for lunch. I go there for dinner, particularly on the last night of every visit to Rincon...I even plan my travel around their days-copen.is excellent, quite original but the draw is the bar, the location and the staff.

Wow! What a great evening! Fist, let me warn you to get there early, at least one hour before sunset, to make sure you are there at sunset. Tonight's sunset wasn't only fabulous, but we were treated to the elusive green flash! The service was attentive, but not in your face. The food was all delicious. We like to try... More

We stopped in to this busy little restaurant as a good place to watch the sun go down. We were pleasantly surprised by the outstanding level of food. It was fresh, flavorful, well prepared, and ample. My cocktail was well crafted, fresh, and delicious. I would be a regular if I lived closer!

Very friendly staff, prompt service and very good food. That's besides a most beautiful view in front of the beach with a nice breeze. The eggs Benedict with duck and the waffles with ham and cheese and a bechamel sauce were delicious.

Thank abnini

The management team of Casa Islena Restaurant (also known as The Tapas Bar) has proudly taken over the the historic Black Eagle Restaurant, rechristening it "La Copa Llena". Located right on the ocean, specifically the south side of the Tres Palmas Marine Preserve, people have been enjoying the sunsets from the Black Eagle deck since the 1970's. The combination of Chef Brendan Basham's cuisine, Casa Islena's charm, and the view of the waves, whales, and sunsets, provides a singular Rincon dining experience. With the adoption of a larger space, Brendan has been able to expand the menu and experiment more while maintaining the strict standards of quality that the local community and returning tourists have come to expect for the last 6 years. We have included some of our old favorites such as the char-grilled octopus with heirloom beans and papaya salad, and introduced some incredible new dishes like poke (yellowfin tuna, avocado, and seaweed), coconut steamed mussels with homemade chorizo and fresh herbs, and a 20 oz. T-bone steak with flageolet-corn succotash and a yukon-parsnip mash. As always, the menu tends to change upon the availability of ingredients, keeping the chef creative and our guests surprised. Brunch is served Sundays from 10am-2pm with diverse offerings such as brown butter crepes and southwest style chilaquiles (eggs scrambled with fried corn tortillas and green chile-tomatillo salsa). Happy hour everyday from 3pm until 7pm includes $2 Medallas, $3 well drinks, and $4 house wine. And we're excited to continue the legacy of the ever entertaining Wednesday night Bingo starting around 9pm. Sunset live music Sundays from 4pm-7pm.Buen Provecho!
