Good meal for a family treat. Maybe slightly more expensive than I would have expected, but otherwise a good experience overall. Pleasant accommodating staff who appeared to be very COVID aware.

We visited the restaurant on Bank Holiday Monday. We had booked a table but there was plenty of space available. The restaurant is fairly large with tables set up for of 2, 4 & 6. We ordered the set menu B for 4 of us...which was £23.50 per person. Mae was our waitress. She brought out warmed plates for the starters but as they took a little while to arrive, she swapped the plates for warmer ones. The starters were delicious and the portion was very generous. My husband enjoyed the ribs whilst my brother-in-law loved the crispy chicken. The next course was duck pancakes. Mae shredded the duck at the table for us so it was very fresh. It was absolutely delicious with lots of crispy bits. We ordered extra pancakes and vegetables. We were quite full by this point so Mae asked if we'd like a break before our main course which was very welcome! The main course was amazing. I really enjoyed the lemon chicken and the special fried rice. My husband was a fan of the prawns and my brother-in-law really liked the crispy beef. We had rice and beef left over so Mae boxed it up for us to take home. We really enjoyed our trip to The Forum House and we will definitely be back! Thanks to Mae and the rest of the staff for the excellent service :)More

We’ve just had a delicious meal at the forum, we hadn’t been since lockdown and I’m glad to say the food was as good as ever ! The staff are polite and friendly and the restaurant was beautifully clean, generous portions beautifully presented. Excellent!

The food was excellent and so was the service. The staff were unobtrusive yet very helpful, taking plates and re-filling water etc but not constantly asking us how everything was! They happily gave us a dish that wasn't on the main menu but only on...the set menu. The restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. We found this place accidentally as we would not normally go out to a Chinese restaurant. We went because the pubs nearby were not serving food. A lucky thing for us!More

Glad we booked as very popular and folk being turned away if they hadn't. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good covid measures in place in my opinion. Food tasty and very enjoyable. My lemon chicken was particularly good. Service couldnt have been better. Will go...again next time we are in the area - if we can get in!More

Great to see this place has made it through! The food, as always here, was fantastic. We also had a gluten intolerant guest and they catered for him with no fuss. We had the set meal (there were 7 of us) and there was more...than enough food for everyone, with plenty of variety to all tastes. We also love the service here. They’re attentive and seem to really care, and they do this without ever being intrusive. It also seems that they’ve not jacked their post pandemic prices in the way many restaurants seem to have done.More

To cut a long story short myself and a workmate stayed in Cambridge a couple of weeks ago. Power cut at hotel due to lightning strike, no hot food, found Forum House on Google and booked a table, FANTASTIC... When l got back to Kent...told the wife about the quality food and excellent service. two weeks passed and while on annual leave decided to book a hotel for the night and visited Cambridge City Centre for the day which we both Loved, in the evening off to the Forum House for a Chinese meal, on arrival l was instantly recognised by the waiter whose name is Hill , and along with one of the young lady waitresses looked after us for the evening. Crispy Duck pancakes for our starter, followed by sweet and sour Hong Kong chicken with Beef fried noodles ( chow mien ) all of our food was excellently cooked and served and the staff were brilliant.. lt was a long way to go for a meal ( Kent to Cambridge ) but well worth it as my wife and l thoroughly enjoyed it. thank you to everyone at Forum House from the Chefs to the front of house staff. IF you are looking for great Chinese food ignore the silly reviews and take my word that you will find it hard to find a better Chinese restaurant. Thanks Forum for a great night, we'll be back John and Chris SikoraMore
