Booked a table online for 8 people. Received a phone call to confirm. Arrived early to find the table ready for us. Our group ranged in age and all managed to find a choice to eat from the menu. Food took a while to arrive after ordering, however I understand the challenge of trying to prepare meals for eight people... More

We rang at the last minute and as usual, the staff squeezed us in. The place was empty as we arrived as it was just midday! By the time we left it was packed. As always the food was excellent. Great chef I think. Lovely roast beef, chicken and vegetables. Good gravy! The chocolate roulade was really good. Service excellent,... More

We called for lunch having been recommended to visit. We were greeted warmly and shown to a table. The staff are most pleasant and helpful too. Orders for food and drinks are taken at the table. Good choices of food and at reasonable prices, both at lunch time and at night. Food is locally sourced and cooked to order, so... More

I have eaten here many times and generally it is good. Unfortunately on my last visit I was disappointed. The service was unusually slow. There was not a full choice on the menu and the main which was mainly meat dishes was tough and dry. The starters were ok. This will not stop me going here as I like the... More

This is a lovely cosy pub, with a good menu. We'd looked forward to eating here when we stayed at the Guest House along the track. As we had our dogs we knew we couldn't use the dining rooms. Appeared to be only two tables in the bar which we could use. No problem! Not until we were told by... More

The achevin Inn is a dog friendly pub with good food and drink on offer. The dining area is always busy and the location is fantastic with views of the Wharfe Valley. The staff are really friendly and many locals visit this pub. Good atmosphere, good food, good choice of drinks, friendly staff and amazing location. What more can I... More

The tables were all occupied when we arrived just before 2pm. However, although we hadn't booked we were shown to a table very quickly as it was vacated. Lovely waitress, very helpful.. I had the slow cooked pork belly with black pudding, mash , red cabbage and a reduced cider jus. It was fantastic. So flavoursome and particularly well cooked.... More
