Really disappointed with this restaurant. My husband and I had breakfast this morning! Took about 10 minutes for my ordinary coffee to arrive..... Poached eggs on toast . ONE WAS ACTUALLY HARD BOILED! I ordered sough dough toast! One cold piece arrived costing $4.95!! More expensive than Sydney! Waitresses pleasant ,but in experienced. Will never return to this restaurant.

After a lovely walk around the harbour, out to Nobby's Breakwall and back, my partner and I were keen for some brunch. So we choose The Wharf Shop as it offered nice views over the harbour and there was plenty of space to sit. When I said to the young woman behind the register I was really after a Big... More

8 of us had brunch here on New Years day. Initially the service was terrible. Cafe was very busy and it seemed they were not prepared staff wise. It took a very long time to be served we waited over 15 minutes to place our order and then the waitress was very short. On the bright side our breakfasts were... More

In short we love this place! We are a couple with a baby and have also eaten breakfast with my parents as well as with a big group of family. Every time we are delighted by the food and the genuine service. Favourite breakfast is the vegetarian breakfast. My husband is a vegetarian but since trying this breakfast the meat... More

I would just like to thank the staff and management for a wonderful evening on New Years Eve. Everyone in our group commented on the fantastic meal, along with the great service. Even though we were a bit disappointed with the fireworks, it didn't diminish the enjoyment we experienced of the evening and that can only be attributed to the... More

Stopped in for a bite to eat this morning while down at the foreshore. Service was ok, coffee ok however the food was terrible. Ordered poached eggs with bacon and scrambled eggs with bacon. The poached eggs were the best out of the two plates, both servings of bacon didn't look like they had seen a fry pan. Scrambled eggs... More

We have just started a year in Australia and are staying with friends and I wondered how hard being Celiac would be. We were walking along the harbour front in Newcastle and started to feel hungry, we checked a menu of pne restaurant with no luck. We then fell accross this little gem. When we entered we asked the waitress... More
