We stopped in here for a piece of cake on the way back to our hotel. The pasty was good -- not necessarily my favorite while in Prague (Bakeshop wins that one), but still quite good. If you happen to be passing by and your sweet-tooth is calling, it's worth a stop.

I have never had this unpleasant and rude service anywhere. The waitress was so arrogant that we wanted to leave as soon as possible. Coffee was ok, cakes were bad. I would not recommend!

Very cozy and nice place, the decoration takes you back to early 19-20th century. Coffee is quite average and a bit more expensive than at other places

Such a lovely place. Very good breakfast - sandwiches, salads, quiche, pies.. nice place to cheer you up in the morning with delicious food in the town center. Big yes!

Great place to go when you're marching away from Old Town Square. Menu is strongly inspired by French patisserie.

We had been in town for a couple days and had been to another place a few doors down (The Bake Shop). Although the other pace has amazing food, its $$$. A double Cappuccino was about $4. American, and we were stopping there everyday. Au Gourmand? Excelled Cappuccino, less than half that price. And the food? Soooo good! Had eclairs,... More

Food is delicious - we tried omelette, salmon wrap and croque Monsieur and all of them were delicious. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended

Club sandwich & fresh quiche were our choices today. A proper bakery who sell their own product. Ideal spot for lunch. So much choice. Staff could be a little more welcoming (cultural perhaps) but faultless food and service. Recommended.

I'll keep it short. Staff is very rude, especially when they are bothered by guests. They don't greet guests, they just glare at anyone daring to enter. Language skills are second to none here. Interior is dirty and tired. Speaking of tired, cakes are not too fresh either. And you can get all of this at a premium price. I... More

We decided to wind up here after a meal at one of the restaurants. We wanted to get a hot chocolate and a piece of cake to empower us before the day of walking and sightseeing. The vibe is great with place having seats in the middle but also display cases with all the products. Cakes, savoury stuff they have... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
