We went there attracted by that misleading place from the outside, with all those weired chairs. But as we had to order our nightmare started: the pictures of the menu looked abundant and very tasty, but as the plate arrived we couldn't believe that the food in it was the one we had to eat, in comparison to all the... We had Carp, not my favourite fish. Friendly service. Come here for the romantic, cosy atmosfere and the view on the water-mill.

After passing this restaurant while on a walking tour of Prague, my husband and I decided to return for a bite to eat. It is a small establishment that sits right on a canal with an old mill and is decorated in the most charming decor. One of the outdoor tables with seating was shaped like a sleigh and the... More

We were walking, saw this beautiful place and decided to stop to drink something hot. The decor is high end rustic. The ambience is super cosy. The view over the lovers bridge and the mill is very nice. The staff is very polite. One small moment to remember.

The location is excellent and very cozy and the staff is really welcoming. The restaurant offers typical Czech cuisine and a good selection of beers. Everything is slightly overpriced by Prague standards, but the place is definitely worth a visit.

Lovely little place with a wonderful view of a water mill. We only had drinks so can't comment on the food but the drinks were lovely and reasonably priced. Service was also good

I stopped in here on my way to the John Lennon wall, looked adorable. Upon looking at the menu we realised it was super expensive. The meat was expensive then you had to pay for sides on top of that, took about half an hour to get our meal and it was very basic, well cooked but basic! It has... More

Amazing place with lovely and fast service. :) We were looking for nice place with romantic mood when we saw this restaurant. We got a table with amazing view on the old wheel and water. Atmosphere was relaxing and food was great. We ordered camembert salad as a starter and we shared old prague platter and pork knee, it was... More

The location is great, just next to the John Lennon wall. The place looks great from the outside, especially with all of the pumpkins around during fall. In my opinion, the food was overpriced. The soup in a bread bowl was not completely filled and the goulash was good, but came in a very small quantity. Also, the service was... More

This looks like it should be a great little restaurant - it looks cosy and traditional and is in a lovely setting on Kampa, overlooking the big water wheel you can see when you cross the Charles Bridge. Unfortunately, the food and service doesn't live up to the look and feel of the place. The staff are disinterested (we sat... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
