Place is idyllic for breakfast. Order the Fried eggs with the ham. outstanding. The fresh squeezed juices are perfect, and the irish coffee wasn't too shabby either :-D . If in Prague , get breakfast here. it won't dissappoint.

This restaurant is fairly easy to find on the castle side of the Charles Bridge. I had read about the cute interior and was not disappointed. It is only open until 7pm, so I would recommend breakfast or lunch. We visited for breakfast and had an open salmon sandwich on homemade seed bread, along with a traditional apple & almond... More

After a few days in Prague, we really wanted to treat ourselves to something that didn't involve beer, potato, gravy or more beer and we stumbled upon this little gem, with fresh made juices, salads and home made sweets. The setting is nice and relaxed with a quirky, light feel to it. The staff are courteous and speak fluent English.... More

When you tire from all the walking on those cobble stones, stop here for little refreshment. The place is across the Maltez Knigts Church on your way to Charles Bridge. We stopped by for coffee and deserts and LOVED IT!

At Sugarcoffeelemonade I feel like I'm not in Praha but somewhere in Italy or France by the river or the sea. The coffee is one of the best that you can find in this location, the pastries seem to be homemade and the staff is super friendly and kind. I go there for their fresh juice most of the time,... My partner and I have taken our group of college students (13 this year) to breakfast here for the past three summers. The wait staff is always so friendly and accommodating even though we descend on them without notice. The students always praise the food (a variety of breakfast dishes--specialty egg concoctions--scrambled or fried with bacon, for example) and the... More

We went to this restaurant twice in 5 days because we enjoyed it so much. The place is youthful with hip design. The service is good and the menu is varied and international in appeal. The food is fresh and tasty. Inventive alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and the coffee is superb. Just a great spot to hang out any time... More

Ducked in here to get out of a rain shower and had a simple pasta lunch with a nice glass of riesling in a beautifully restored room with a hand-painted ceiling and a nice crowd. It's not fancy but the food was good and the restaurant very comfortable. Nice staff, too.

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
