Was recommended by a local while doing our holiday shopping and boy were we surprised by the quality of the coffee! I would say that it's on par or even better than some specialty coffee places in Melbourne and Singapore. The breakfast/lunch was pretty good as well. Had the rabbit with rice and that had a little Asian taste to... More

Wonderful breakfast today. Everyone's food and Capacchinos were great. We were so impressed that we returned for lunch. But the lunch menu needs a little work. For example, the chicken triple decker would be better with thinner bread slices that were lightly toasted. The sandwich was too thick to bite and fell apart after the first bite. But still tasty!

Café Lounge is a cosy place, just a few steps away from the tram stop ‘Ujezd’ (castle side of the river in Prague). The entrance looks almost like a hotel; you could easily think from the name and initial glance that this is just a café that provides sandwiches and coffee. But step inside and you’ll find a fine-dining restaurant... More

This cozy little place is an excellent coffee bar and they serve nice food. So if you are for example to have breakfast somewhere in Prague 5, this is a definitely a good place to go.

Stayed in neighbouring Hunger Wall residence so ate here a few times across breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great food and wine list. Also a wide variety of specialty coffees which should definitely be sampled.

We came to this place with high expectations based on all the wonderful reviews. Upon arrival we were seated and handed our menus. We had to wait 10 minutes to order coffee and breakfast. When placing our order the waitress had somewhere else to be as she took our menus and began walking away before we had finished ordering. The... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
