This place looks quite inviting from the outside and the menu looks good so we went in and found ourselves a table. I chose a chicken dish and I asked if the chicken was served with anything - and he said it was served with potatoes. My friend ordered the traditional pulled pork with potato dumplings that we had had... More

We got tho this restaurant and we got the menu right away. However, the waiter never came to ask what we wanted. In the long 15 minutes we were waiting to take the order. We heard another table that got the wrong dish. One of the Party got a wrong dish. This is a restaurant that I don't recommend. They... More

We ordered fried cheese which should be with discount but the waiter took from us normal price. Our meal wasn't fresh. The worst restaurant which we visited on Prague.

I was at this place two nights in a row. I really liked the svickova na smetane and was full for four days.

The taste of dish is not so good, and attitude of the staffs is bad. He didn't tell us the names of dishes. We were overcharged and they didn't get us back the change!( of course that was not tip) I don't recommend this restaurant, never go there again.

This restaurant was conveniently on our path after descending from the castle and we decided to try it. Food was ok and was served for us pretty fast, i guess, but the service was very unfriendly, it seemed almost hostile towards some customers. Even though the staff hated everyone else, they sure seemed to love the jokes they were telling... More

Went here on Christmas Eve with family. The service was okay, but the waiter took a finished beer and refilled it without asking, there was also a 15% service fee. The food was not really tasty except the pork leg. Wouldn't recommend to eat here unless there's no other choice.

It was cold and rainy. I was starving. I needed to duck into some place that was actually open on Christmas Eve (yeah, pretty much the whole city is shut down). So, I see this place which looks very authentic. I go in and it's not too crowded which would have worried me but it's Christmas Eve and so I... More

A very well located venue. I always return here to have "Veprovo koleno" - pork leg. It's awesome indeed. Oh, and for desert I recommend "marlenka" - just try this and you will not regret. Cheap, nice, very tasty!

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
