We had breakfast everyday here & were pleasantly surprised by the variety of breakfast far. The staff was very accommodating in meeting our needs.

At the Archibald at the Charles Bridge, breakfast is an event in and of itself. Just sitting in this space made the start to our day amazing!

We stayed three nights at the Archibald at the Charles Bridge hotel and ate at the hotel's restaurant twice. The food was very good and fairly priced. The first night I ate there I had the goulash which was very good. Another in my party had a steak that was enjoyed. The second night we both had a hamburger off... More

I stayed 6 nights in this very warm and comfortable hotel but was very disappointed with the evening restaurant. The roast duck had clearly been cooked earlier and reheated by deep frying .....I am a serious Duck fan but could not eat this food. To be fair the restaurant manager tasted the dish and agreed it was not up to... More

Very atmospheric interior with a fantastic vaulted ceiling. Good and varied choices on the menu, well presented hearty food at reasonable prices (cheap by UK standards). This not fine dining by the way. Service was quick and all staff spoke good English. if you weren't sure about a dish they had a picture of what you were ordering on their... More

We went here Christmas day for dinner. We were away from home and looking for a nice dinner and thus place delivered! We had a ham appetizer, roast beef dinner and finished with an apple strudel (and we got a second apple strudel it was so good!!) Service was great and the food delicious! We would have loved to try... More

Very nice traditional hotel with some modern touches. Spacious accommodations, nice included breakfast, good restaurant, and right off of the Charles Bridge. This side of the river is a little quieter, but it has its gems. Our room had a view of the river and bridge.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere, the menu is varied and everything we ordered was great. We had good conversations with the staff and were met with a friendly smile (other Prague restaurants let themselves down in this respect). Let them serve you a mixed light and dark Pils beer easily my favourite of our stay.

ordered a rib eye steak - medium, never have had such an overcooked piece of meat, returned it, they came back with something similar, incredible... my other guests asked more traditional Czech disches, and they were satisfied, hence a 2 but for me only a 1 - maybe just not the right meat in their fridge?

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
