Food is great, they dont have a large selection of dishes, but everything what they offering is traditional and very good taste...Furniture and athmosphere are good, some details can improve this restoraunt to be great....also i can say that staff was kindly.

Found this by chance when needing a break and a drink. It's larger inside than what it looks. Nice atmosphere inside, although I didn't eat there were a lot of locals eating and food looked good. Always a good sign if locals frequent a place. I stayed an hour of so and had a couple of drinks, service good and... More

A "hidden" delight, just around the corner from "Fred & Ginger". Good food, good atmosphere, great prices. Another one of Prague's hidden delights.

I come here sometimes to have a bite or a beer. The stuff is nice and friendly. The typical czech cuisine tastes very good. The little hidden garden is nice too. The only thing is a little bit smelly because it is allowed to smoke in there. To sum up: It is typical czech nice and not overpriced place.

Nice place to have quick lunch but dont expect great expirience. Meals are good and cheap and that is all. But beers are really great. I especially recomend Kácov which is prepared in a small brewery in the valley of sázava river.

If you are on the way to visit Southern part of the city (not only the downtown is an interesting place) walk around the Karlovo náměstí – maybe the biggest square in Europe. When you are tired go for a Czech meal to the restaurant Stará doba. (Old Time). The street level is for smokers, in the cellar you can... More

We had there a dinner for two: two dishes with chicken and potatoes, onion soup, two teas, ice cream,- 587 CZK with a main dish price of 155-179 CZK. If I would like to compare the price in our 5* star hotel with 990 CZK for each person, then the price is very competitive. Food was good for our not... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
