I'm a beer lover and I really loved the range of Czech beer here! Quite a lot of options, including a great IPA. It's very cozy inside, we got here at just before midday and it was already crowded. It's not very big inside but there are plenty of seats outside which will be useful as it gets warmer. In... More

This is a must do if you like your beer - they brew their own and have a great range - the IPA is an excellent example. There are a number of indoor and outdoor seating areas. A good reward after climbing up the hill to the Castle/Monastery area!

After a day seeing the sights of Prague, a tram ride up the hill (No 22) brings you to this brewery. The beer choice is not wide but the quality of the beer is outstanding. There are beers they produce all year round and they do a number of seasonal beers. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The staff... More

The setting is quite nice, on the terrace just outside Strahov monastery. Service is quick and efficient. Beer was great (both the pilsner and dark regular beers). We had soup for lunch and both soups were fantastic, the goulash soup most especially: rich, thick and flavourful. Probably my best meal in Prague. A great stop to relax for lunch.

The brewery, located close to an old Monastery gives a good atmosphere to have lunch. The terrace is the best choice. We tasted the local and seasonal beer (IPA), which was extrordinary. It was a pity that they did not have they not had in stock the smoked beer. The food was really good and the price adequate. The service... More

We first visited this place while on a tour of Prague Castle, basically just stopped in for a beer, which was tasty. Since our hotel was nearby we returned for dinner that night and had Goulash and Pork Knee, both very large portions and very delicious. We liked it so much that we came back the next night for our... More

We had a very short visit but my partner is mad about beer and ale making this a must see. The quality of food and drink is high and all delicious. In fact it was so good we returned the next day! Would highly recommend a visit.

Did some beer tasting here (very good) and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Staff is friendly, attentive and fast. Stake and Spareribs are recommended. It can be buzzy here, for a group it’s smart to make a reservation.

One of the highlights in the history of brewing. A wonderful location, perfectly situated next to the Church and the Library complex of the Strahov Monastery. There's a large choice of Czech food on the menu and ample seating arrangements. The service is attentive and the prices reasonable. The brewery is must when visiting the complex.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
