There is an extensive selection of very good beers but the wait staff was very helpful setting us up with a sampler to start with. Sharing a sampler to start with really does help you figure out what you want for the next full glass. We tried several of the snacks, the cheese plate was very good, the farm sausages... More

RESTAURANT'S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This place is outstanding. We got tired of the same basic Czech pilsner we were drinking all over town (sorry, I respect a balanced, clean beer, but they are just plain boring.) U Kunstatu specializes in Czech beers that have life and character and, perhaps just as importantly, the staff are passionate about the beer they serve. This is the... More

Went with family and loved the staff and the beer. Not much food option but that is not why you will opt for this place. Great vibe and awsome brews

Visiting U Kunstatu for the beer tasting and experience was an excellent life choice. Not only were we entertained and informed, the exploration of the ancient underground beneath the venue was spectacular and the range of beers that we learnt about and tasted was delightful. Highly recommend this experience.

Sat here in the courtyard, after a day sightseeing, we came across this gem. Over 100 beers to choose from. With light tapas to wash the beers down with. Very relaxing. Thoroughly recommended.

If you're interested in beer this place in Old Town is a must-go. Nice beer garden in front, limited but tasty snacks menu, and an amazing array of Czech microbrews. This is a place for the serious beer-lover of IPAs, sours, stou5s, etc.---the Czechs are working with all those styles. No problem with indifferent service here. All the staff we... More

Large selection of beers, especially from small breweries. I recommend to go for the beer sampler. 6 glass of different beers......nice gamble. There was a big difference between the waiters. Some are nice and some are not.

Description
In our venue we offer close to 100 craft beers from small and mid size independent breweries.
Of Romanesque origins, and dating from around 1180, the palace U Kunstatu is located on a hidden cul-de-sac in the oldest part of the Old Town. It is both a UNESCO protected monument and a ‘time machine’ of architectural styles. The Former palace of George of Podebrady, it was from here that he walked to be crowned King of Bohemia in the year 1458. The palace has once again opened it’s doors to the public and together with it’s beer garden represents an oasis of tranquility in the middle of Prague

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
