Been there for lunch. As a foreigner is not surprising being treated not that well with people who struggle to speak English - in a very touristy city such as Prague - but in this place a rude attitude is the norm. We have been sitting for 20 minutes waiting for a menu that never arrived. When we made the... More

Nice location. Wait service was efficient and friendly. Drinks were served quickly. The menu was simple but interesting - more ways of preparing burrata than imagined. BUT incredibly sloooowww kitchen. Appetisers and mains required several reminders. Most irritating that smoking was allowed inside and the smoke further diminished the experience.

Kafka Snob Food sounds like a tourist spot, but it really isn't. It's quiet, a bit hidden on one of those winding streets a few blocks from Old Town Square. The people who work/run the café treat both locals and visitors alike - with a warm welcome, a smile and then excellent service. At its core, this is a place... More

We had a very good lunch in this little, cosy pub near the Old Sinagogue. Excellent cakes and coffee, relaxed "hipster" atmosphere, you can also find a full menu with a strong Italian influence.

If you prefer to enjoy your meal or coffee without being subjected to cigarette smoke you should avoid this place at all cost! Upon entering we were seated at a table without being warned that it is in the smoking area. Just when we received our coffee the people at the neighbouring table started smoking heavily. We asked the staff... More

Nice place around the Jewish neighborhood. I was passing by and the nice atmosphere caught my attention and stopped for a coffee. Service was ok, clean bathroom and they had wifi. They also have some options for a bite to eat, or lots of option but can be a convenient place tomato if you are around and do not want... More

Good coffee and a large pot of tea, but the fact that you can smoke inside is not to my liking. The cakes look great though.

Coffee and carrot cake, great atmosphere, friendly service, low cost. Adjacent to the Jewish quarter, highly recommended as a food stop!

Apparently it's unhygienic too have tap water here, one has to have bottled water! Strange that isn't the case anywhere else in Prague. Rude slow service which explains how empty it is. Avoid!

Lovely food, have had the truffle pasta three times now. Great bread, olive oil and balsamic vinegar also. It's a shame that one member of staff (male blonde hair) has ruined my experience by being so rude to me and my friend, the female working at the time was great however. Will not go back because of this.

Staying in Josefov

Neighbourhood Profile
Josefov houses Prague’s Jewish community. This small neighbourhood centered around Široká street is completely surrounded by Staré Město (Old Town). As the former Jewish Ghetto, today all that remains are a few synagogues and the oldest surviving Jewish cemetery in Europe. The narrow streets were once small enough that a person could touch the houses on both sides. You can still feel the dignity and history this neighbourhood carries in its legacy as Franz Kafka’s birthplace. Nearby streets are full of kosher restaurants, museums and antique bookstores.
