The cakes here are amazing - you select your indulgence at the counter and then find a table for them to bring the drinks to. We stopped here twice and both times it was excellent.

strolling in mala strana, we ambled along and meant to cross the bridge and go to old town when we espied this quaint place, which looked unpretentious and had character even from the outside go in and it is an oasis of tranquility where many of the locals come in and are deep in conversation; nothing fussy here; order at... Located right by the Petrin park is this cool, cozy sweets factory. Take the tram to Ujezd and then walk to the right down the main drag, you can't miss it. With 6-8 pale green shudders, pretty pastel writing and architectually beautiful windows, this place invites you in and begs you to stay. That is all even before you see... More

We came across this cafe because it was opposite our hotel and ended up returning virtually every day! Excellent cup of tea and delicious fresh fruit milkshakes plus lovely pastries and cakes. We also tried the open sandwiches which we were unsure about at first but they turned out to be very tasty. The cafe is much larger than it... More

Lovely place to sit and enjoy some coffee or a huge ice cream for a very decent price. I really like the exterior and interior, looks very quaint and unique. Friendly service that speaks English too. Stumbled upon this by chance and really liked it.

Went here on a few occasions, place is very nicely decorated. Cakes are very tasty, as well as coffee. There is also an extensive tea list for those who love tea.

Good cafe Latte, excellent strawberry cake and sweet berry pie. Romantic interior - this was a nice place for afternoon coffee brake. Cheap too.

This is a cosy and tasteful coffee shop. We stopped for coffee on a chilly January morning and really liked it. Based on the extensive tea list - which we didn't try - I would imagine it to be a must for tea lovers.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
