We picked up filled rolls and pastries for lunch here, they were all superb. The pastry chef is wasted in a little place like this she should be in a large city sitting tuning out these super pastries for high wages, Really recommended.

Good service, cheap and nice food. We have been here before for lunch, they have sandwich, beer, soda coffee. The location is very nice and relaxing.

I came here for breakfast with my daughter. Reading other reviews it looks like they have some good staff and some not so good. I definitely met the not so good. The selection is okay but not as good as other places and the coffee was TERRIBLE. As my mother would call it: dirty water.

On Dec 25th, when almost every place was close, this patisserie was open. We came here for a quick bite during breakfast. We were served by this wonderful, friendly woman. The bread with ham, cheese and tomatoes was really fresh and delicious. We also tried one of their chocolate pastries and it was mouth watering. We came a second time.... More

I regularly visit La Patisserie when in Prague. The open sandwiches are fabulous, either to sit down and eat with a coffee, or to take-away and eat later. There is also a good selection of filled croissants and salads, lunchtime special soup and other drinks. The strudel is excellent too ! All very reasonably priced.

The café will not win any awards for it's décor but it is very clean. We had a coffee and cake one morning and bought some sandwiches another day for lunch. Both time the food was very good.

After reading good reviews decided to give this place a try as not far from our hotel and breakfast there not great. Very dissapointing dated decor a few cheap plastic tables and a notice telling you to clear your plate. Small range of sandwiches and croissants which were not very fresh. We didn't try any pastries as they didn't look... More

By walking to Prague Castle I found this nice patisserie. But is more than that you can find not only sweet and cakes but mainly sandwiches and home made strudels. I had spinach one, and was too delicious that I had to buy one more for later! Good quick service, nice staff, good price, clean place. Good to stop here... More

We stopped in here for coffee on our way to the castle. It's quite small, but charming, the owner is very warm and friendly, and the coffee was good. We didn't sample the sweets but there was a nice variety and everything looked good. When we found ourselves back in the area a couple of days later, we stopped in... More

Simply put I miss these pastries and it sucks that I haven't found anything this good in the Milwaukee area. I started stopping in the afternoon to see if they had different pastries. Everything we had was delicious and the coffee was good, too.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
