We took sandwiczes, coffee and cakes. Everything was tasty, prices ok. I recommend the chocolate cake, coffee was delicious. Very nice place to sit and rest before visiting the rest of the Hradczany palace

Surely this cafe lives on its location in the castle district. As already said in comments before you can find much cheaper restaurant in town with better quality. But you can visit it for a quick lunch if you don't expect high cuisine.

Reasonable price. Good location. And decent food (we had 1 salmon sandwich and 1 chicken). Good place to take a brake from sightseeing.

The sandwiches here were fairly plain and overpriced for the quality, this was recommended in a guide book but I can't see why. Service was also poor, long waits and difficult to find any waiters.

The prices are high relatively to Prague but it could be acceptable if at least the food was fresh. But it was probably kept in their fridge for about a week and our stomach ached afterwards. They also don't accept credit card. Shame on you! The good thing is that they've had WiFi and the garden is nice.

The place is fairly well hidden but is a nice sit down option right at the Prague Castle. Food is good but you do pay for location.

After a tour of the castle this was a perfect venue for an outside drink. The staff were friendly and drinks reasonably priced. The food looked nice but we didn't try any. The seating inside looked less nice but sat outside the whole time which had a lovely view.

Very busy, with choices ranging from soft drinks to lots of people apparently having massive meals. The food was surprisingly good and the staff surprisingly cheerful. However it feels like a diner inside, not making the most of the fantastic views available. Pleasant seating area outside if it is warm enough.

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
