I had lunch with friends when we were visiting Prague and, FIRST, They gave us the beer they want without any question. We didn't ask for it. They offered us chupitos as an invitación but if you accept you pay. SECOND, they didn't give us the ticket. We had to ask for it to see how much it cost. They... More

Better to book this excelent restaurant for a tipical Czech dinner. Very informal way to serve they will always keep your dark beer glass full. The pork is one of best best ever. He location is good between the Prague Castel and the Central Square.

Great and very famous. Probably I. Every tourist guide but it's great. Beer brewed only there and only sold there. The menu has a mixed meat item that's fabulous. There's a huge push to purchase liquors but one beer and everybody's happy.

It's a lovely place, but crowded and in my opinion a little too much. You will never see Czechs there. Place is beautiful, authentically, nice food, not so expencive, try roast pork knuckle with vegetable garnish , order just one if you are in couple, it's big portion and bread or potato dumplings.

U Fleku restaurant is a must when visiting Prague because of the good local food and the unique atmosphere. There are no small tables, only long tables that you will share with other people. Once seated you will be "offered" a small drink of local cinnamon liqueur, we found out later we had to pay for it! Don't be scared... More

In my opinion, this place is a tourist trap and all they want is your money. There is just one overprised kind of beer served in sickeningly dirty glasses by terribly rude service. No more. This is our experience: Right after we came they bring us beers (without asking), during the evening they offered us shots (which is not necessarily... More

An interesting pub in Prague. Group seating and an accordion player playing. Only 1 beer which they bring around in trays. Also very pushy guy with shots of local grog. A bit annoying really. Food was average meats sausages and such. Probably more fun here with a big group.

We were recommended here for the beer but not to eat. The dark beer is excellent and it is worth a visit to try this. Beware the liqueurs that are pushed as a freebie but in fact you pay. That said, try the golden one, the clear one is cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg and tastes like medicine. Based on Czech... More

Had a very good lunch here - the food is traditional Czech, goulash, spicy sausage, dumplings etc. Really delicious. They make one beer, and they've been doing it since 1499, so not surprising it's great - a dark lager we both enjoyed very much. But they do push you to "try" (i.e. Buy) some other liquors without explaining that it... More

Terrible restaurant, they told us the shots they were offering were free but then they charged us. Very expensive everything, rude staff. I Would never go there again and I don't recommend it.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
